Right about now they should start unleashing the match play and the 2 man, skins, two man 1 low ball, super 6s, etc etc and start trying a whole bunch of shitake to see what resonates with tv viewers. Regular golf tournaments from now until April are a snooze fest.

Well, lets call it like it is......you are no longer a golf fan you're a major tournament fan. Simple as that.....The St. Jude has 8 of the top 10 players in golf and the #1 player in the world. If you can.t get up or that then you need to watch bowling.

I never have given a rats *** about the FedEx 'Playoffs'. The President's Cup does nothing for me either so yes......I agree golf TV for the rest of the year will be of little interest to me. I'll catch a little, but not much. I do enjoy playing year round however.

Any time the top players congregate it's worth watching. Looking forward to playoffs and end of European Tour season. The point of majors is to have a high point in the season, but that doesn't mean the rest of the season is worthless.

The rest of the year I'm gonna watch the European Tour because I really like some of the courses they play the rest of the year. The Omega European Masters in Switzerland and the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship are great tournaments to watch on TV and quite different from courses like TPC Southwind.

When time allows I watch all golf, PGA Tour, Euro Tour, LPGA, even Senior Tour, Korn Ferry, and college. I make time to watch the Majors and Ryder Cup, the rest it's usually on in the background when I'm working or there's nothing else on that I'd rather watch. Sounds like the OP really just likes watching Majors so that's just like the people who just watch the World Series, Super Bowl or Stanley Cup, all of which I don't really consider fans of the sport.

Didn’t realize they cut he fedex to 3 events. People might find it more interesting since its the last hurrah and still in the summer.

I prioritize the majors but also enjoy a good finish in any tournament.

I'm grateful to have so much golf to pick and choose from.

That said, I will watch any match/tournament at any time, anywhere. I recently saw the USGA Junior Championship and really enjoyed it.

Think of the new PGA schedule as gaining time to other activities, not as as a loss.

well..I collect blades and it's a no-brainer for people like me..

BTW don't get me wrong guys...I still watch some events like the aforementioned Junior Amateur and the LPGA majors--EVIAN now..

it's the PGA Tour schedule that kinda deflates my interest now that all 4 majors are finished and we have to wait 9 months for the next one!

woke up by chance at 3AM and saw the last 7 holes ...disappointed our own Yuka Saso got beat in the semis after topping the stroke-play.. but her opponent played well the last 2 holes and deserved it..
