Which 2020 Driver Did You Order?

I hit the EPIC Flash today because they didn’t have the MAVRIK or SZ heads. I launched the Rogue White at around 16/17 degrees and could not get it under 3,300 rpms. I really wanted to hit that shaft. After about 5 swings I didn’t try again.

I got much better numbers from the Smoke. I actually have a Smoke in a Titleist T2.

i am not too worried, also love my smoke, and just received a Ventus Black 6s

Maybe it would pair better with the SZ

I hit a few drivers today at PGA Superstore. I brought my TS2 Smoke to get a good idea. I ended up hitting the EPIC Flash, Cobra SZ and G410 Plus. I tried the SIM last week and it was not working, so they didn’t even try it today.

Tried Smoke, Rogue White , HZRDUS Yellow. Eventually, put a Smoke 60 in the all the clubs. Got good results with all clubs, but if I had to rank them I would go.

I delayed my driver purchase to try all of the new releases. Now that I have demo'd all the ones I was interested in, I found that the Epic Flash was just as good for me as the new releases. So I may be leaning towards an Epic Flash on CWPO, since I can get a "like new" for $285 with the 30% off promo. I have to admit the Mavrik sounds better than the EF, but sound has never bothered me if performance is there.....especially for a $235 difference.

Hit SIM, SIM MAX, Mavrik SZ, and speed zone.

Speedzone - too much spin like all Cobra drivers

SIM MAX - higher spin than SIM. SIM numbers were better.

Mavrik SZ - best numbers but toe side strikes were less than stellar, including a few off the grid left. Dealbreaker.

SIM 9.0 ordered. Really good numbers. Ordered with rogue silver 70 X. Shaft will get installed in my backup 17 m2 3wood. My 125msi rogue gamer will go in SIM.

Im literally the exact same way! its been 14 years for me also. I got the R7 for my 18th bday. My drivers have been R7, Superquad, R11, SLDR, R15, M1, M5.... I love my m5 and Im keeping it as a safety net, but the Mavrik and Mavrik SZ were so consistent and felt better. The M5 was never the fastest ball speed wise for me, but the combo of launch and spin gave me the farthest avg drive over anything else. The Mavrik SZ was about 2mph faster for me with a flatter flight which I liked

I never plan to order one, but I always hit every new model from the OEM's to see if its worth it. With the Callaway or TM 150% trade in bonus I dont mind only paying around $250 for the new driver if I have last years model

Recalling from memory because I hit about 100 shots with various lofts, weight configurations, etc. But I am pretty sure SIM and SIM MAX in 9.0 had the MAX launching 1 degree higher and spinning about 300 more. Hit the MAX well. Pretty darn straight with a slight left fall due to the face closing. SIM allowed me to move the CoG enough to impart a touch of fade bias. I seem to recall that I was 12-13 and 2200 with SIM. 13-14 and 2500 with MAX.

I think SIM MAX and M6 will be very similar. I played M6 for just a small period of time. I have trackman data from 3 shots with it. It was a different day than SIM MAX testing but I launched m6 at 12-12.5 with 2400-2500 spin. Same shaft in each head.

I was fitted for (at CC) and will be purchasing the Callaway Mavrik standard at 10.5 with Fujikura Pro 2.0 6S. Absolutely love the feel, sound and performance of the driver. I poorly fit myself for the Ping G400 Max admittedly. I found fairways but the club/shaft combo was too low launch and low spin. Gained 20-30 yards of carry depending on strike with 2000-2300 spin - usually around 2300 - and with good launch in the 14 degree area. Very excited about this addition to my bag.
