It looks to me like a D3 he's put in play first two days at The Barclays.

But if you're talking about CC of the D5, no confirmation but 400cc has been tipped as the go.

Would be interesting to know what length shaft he was using with the D5. If it were weighted to balance properly between 43" and 44" you might have a winner for the masses. If its designed to balance/play best at 45", not so much...

Well , as much as I like another 400cc head, I am going to try to make the full 460 work this time around, something thats just stupid easy to hit off the tee and whale away with would be awesome, though to be honest I really dont want to change up my woods.

Will have to convene a trackman grand jury when the release happens

Same Rombax 95 in the 915.
Seems to be a good shaft.

I wish they made a 75 and/or 85 for the public to get their hands on.

Rombax p95 = classic Blue Board 83

From Fuji Tour Department

Model Name : p95x
Flex = X
Load = Hard
Length = 46"
Weight = 94g
Tip Flex = 99
Butt Flex = 74
Torque = 2.7
tip diameter = .335
Parallel Tip Length = 2.5
Butt Diameter = .625
Bend Point = H
Spin = Medium
Launch = Low

The Father of the Rombax Fit On PRO95x
95 grams

The newer feels IMOP a little better, the performance characteristics are VERY CLOSE. They also made a Tour Issue PRO95xx, which was a 105 gram version of the shaft - which is a piece of re-bar.

I put the p95x in a driver - felt great for a couple of swings - but made "golf work".

Per our rep. a 400ish prototype for Adam Scott and possibly one other staff pro. Absolutely no plans to bring to the public. Based on today maybe Adam should go back to his 913. Can't remember him missing this many fairways in a long time.

I have a blueboard 83x in my fairway woods. Are you saying a rombax p95x is similar? Besides the weight of course.

I'd be very interested if so.

my post was terrible, while not off the planet different, the p95 IMOP feels like a more stout blue board, my point, which was poorly conveyed by me is thats its a modern day classic that the blue board has been.

The original Pro95 was an awesome shaft. Played it with a 8.5 983k. That speaks loudly of today's f'd up driver heads. The 983k was not termed a low spin head, and the Pro95 was not a low spin shaft. Yet, that club hit piercing bombs. Why is it so hard today to find a flight like that nowadays?

Really like the idea. Too bad my game will never get the opportunity to have access to one. Now only if they didn't have that new alignment triangle. That thing looks a little lame.

I asked a very reliable source about the D4 and D5 today... I was told that only a few exist and they are unsure at this point if they will come to retail. I am very confident in the information that this person shares, so anyone saying that is coming I believe is speculating.
[/quote]

Shame really, economics will always win. There are far more people who miss the sweet spot entirely than those who simply find it harder to square the large modern drivers.

Oh yeah, I agree with this 100%. Even the people inside Titleist who say one of the two will come to retail are speculating at this point. I can see why they are speculating one will due to how the 712u and 913Hd were released as special orders. I don't think Titleist will know internally until January 2015 at the earliest and possibly even August 2015.

Scratch, next time you chat with that individual will you please ask if there is a chance that the 712U 5i will see the light of day outside of tour bags? I'd even take the 'Dumb and Dumber' chance...

It would be a shame if these didn't come to retail. Titleist has always offered the public exactly what the pro's use so is that changing now? Seems like more and more clubs from them aren't making it to retail and remaining tour only.

Can't wait to hear about this. I absolutely love my 15* 913fd so much, I'm actually considering not having a Callaway driver for the first time!

Want to hit a 915 and 913 side by side before I make a decision.
