Great pics from the show. The Edel's look like they should be in a museum, talk about amazing looking clubs. How do you own them and not get upset about getting dirt on them?

Okay so after the PGA Show I couldn't stop thinking about this putter so much so that I had to grab one. It's a mallett made by Piretti and as soon as it gets here I'll post some pics. :) Can't wait

You sly dog! I was talking to one of the guys at Gear Trials and he had some high praise about Piretti, he just ordered one too I believe. They make some really good looking putters, interested to see what you have showing up.

New toy is in and it's just as good as I remember from the PGA merch show. I comnpared it with my go to putter for the last 4 years the Odyssey WHP #7. Also give you a sense of size and shape. So for me I do best with face balanced putters and have more or less a SBST stroke. I really like the squareness of this putter it really seems to fit my eye and frame the ball well. I won't be able to really test it out for a few more weeks when the snow melts but on my indoor green it feels pretty good.

Not sure if your referring to the X7M (Futura) but I've tried it and thought it was a nice putter but I didn't like the feel as much as the Piretti. I do like the look and shape of the head though.

J, that's a nice looking flat stick my friend. Looking forward to seeing how it pans out. I've long wanted to get a custom putter (who lives in Chicago for 5 years and doesn't go to Studio B??!!) but have never taken the time to do so. House hasn't sold yet so maybe one of these weekends I'll make a trip over there.

Is the new Select line on the SC website yet? Not sure if the Select line on the SC website is the new line or not. The suareback model has always been one of my favorites though.

 

The Piretti doesn't feel heavy but it's hard to tell without playing on real greens at normal speeds. The snow from the Blizzard is still with us so it's a no go for outdoor anything right now.

Piretti really impressed me with their lineup and custom GSS models. I also really like their logo so that helps for head covers and such. But we'll see once I get on real greens, Ive tried a handful of putters in the last year or so and so far the #7 has stayed in the bag.

The King is in! My testing started last month at the PGA Show. King LTD wasn't really on the radar for me although i wanted to try it as i'm a cobra fan. I played the FZ+ last year for a bit and although it was a great stick effentually got replaced by the more forgiving G30.

 

So fastforward to the PGA Show. I was lured to Cobra's booth by the loud music pumping from Redbull truck/DJ booth. It's like a night club with golf clubs :) When i got there another person was on the trackman so I jumped in an open station and started hitting different clubs. To make a long story short I was impressed enough by what i saw that i wanted to see some numbers. So once the Trackman station opened up I hopped in and proceeded to get in the neighborhood of 13-14* launch with 1900-2200 spin. Just for reference my SS nowadays ranges from 112-115 on course (kids have sucked the life force from me :) ) Mishits were also staying in a reasonsable range and under 3000rpms which is a downside of the M1. Keep in mind this was with the best shaft they had availalbe for me which was a matrix Xflex black tie. Dispersion wasn't exactly great but the club wasn't setup for me so my expectations were only so high.

 

So will the King defeat the M1? We will see once i get it setup. Just got it in and can only hit indoors at the moment but in a few weeks that should change. Another driver I'm eager to put through it's paces is the successor to the G30, the G.

I found that with the M1 that my misses spun way more than the D4. What shaft you have in the LTD? Lots of interest in this model this year. Curious to see how you like it and how far it goes on miss hits

I agree but to be honest i'm not a huge fan of orange. One of the downsides to the King LTD for me is the orange. I wish they brough the King back with the original gold/yellow color. I know it's because of Fowler but enough already, stop with the orange Puma ;)

Going to start at 9.5D and get some numbers. I'll go from there. WIth my miss (block) I don't do well with an open face so I have no interest in the Pro. Aside from that at 9* of loft i'm getting borderline too low launch and spin so i wouldn't go lower.

Yeah I really like the M1 but on mishits my spin jumps all over the place. The most impessive driver i've seen in regards to spin differential across the face is the Ping G. My range was 2200-2700, that's center strikes to mis hits. Thats damn impressive to me.

 

My shaft is the Agera and after 2 fittings at Club Champion it's proven to give me the best dispersion which is THE most important thing to me. I hate missing fairways as that costs me more strokes then any other part of my game. With that said I got a Mitsu Ilima 70X in this driver. Cool looking shaft but never hit it so what the hell. Doubt it will fit me but it came with the driver so I'll give it a whack.

Curious as well. I just hit my Cobra King LTD inside for the first time today, and it feels really nice. I tried 3 shafts (Rogue 125msi, Veylix Arcane, and Kuro Kage Black TiNi) and they all performed well for me, but the Rogue seemed to be slightly better. What a great feeling head; can't wait to get it outside, but unfortunately, I am going to have to as it is snowing here. Looking forward to your thoughts on this club. The people who have it, seem to love it.

Sounds like you tested some great shafts ! Might come down to what looks cooler in the head haha.

I like the look of the F6+ better but yes the numbers were better with the King LTD. Ball Speed mainly.

Testing has begun, Going to do another session but today I narrowed somethings down and have to make a few tweaks with shafts. :) I will say the King LTD had a great day.
