SNELL GOLF BALLS??? anyone???

This might've been asked already but any plans to roll out a 6-ball test pack (a sleeve each of the black and x)? Or possibly simply sell by the sleeve? I'd love to try Snell but don't need a full dozen, especially if one model ends up being a better fit.

Ebay.. you will pay arms and legs.

One arm and a pinky toe is all I can afford. Guess I'll go look for some lost Snells in the woods. Lol.

I doubt you will find such a difference that you couldn't play the other six. C'mon man, it's 30 bucks! :taunt:

Yeah, I get that. Just would be cool to pick up a sleeve and go from there.

Also, $30 is still $30. Not a huge amount by any means. But no one's going to give me $30 bucks for free either. (Or, someone can PayPal me $30 and prove me wrong. LOL. )

Just chiming in here to show my love for this ball.

Due to the cold conditions in Seattle since November I've been gaming softer balls(Titleist DT Trusofts mostly). Well the weather finally warmed up last weekend into the mid/upper 40's. Busted out my MTB Blacks and it was like heaven again. I have so much confidence in this damn golf ball to perform everytime I ask it to.

My buddies at the club still make fun of me, but I love taking their money with my Snells!

Is it expected for the MTB Black's white finish to lose gloss and discolor to a light grey after plugging in mud? I did not notice any change in play of the balls, just that the white finish on the outer surface went flat and seemed to wear off (less so inside the surface of the dimples - they remained whiter). This happened on a couple balls last weekend, the wettest conditions I've played recently with constant plugging. I'm sorry I lost the last ball today and didn't take a photo. I do think mud-plugging is an abrasive event and it seemed like the finish just got "sanded off" some.

I just ordered two more dozen as I'm out.

Great. Some of my need is created by need for yellow balls from cataracts but surgery in a few weeks so maybe (!!!) I can see stuff like a white ball in the air again.

Love the ball (red) and now will try the test pack...

I have been out of golf for a few years and haven’t played much. I haven’t been in this site much either in that time. So even though I have heard of the Snell ball and know the Snell name I have never used the ball. After reading through this thread...you have a new customer sight unseen and unhit. The responses to all questions and concerns by Dean is one of the most impressive levels of commitment I have seen to a product. I’m sure the golf ball is impressive as all of your developed balls with other companies have been, but I have to give my business based on your service. Very impressed and I will be placing my order for the X today.

Jon

Update...placed order for 2 dozen MtbX and look forward to trying them. I think it’s the perfect ball for me based on what I’ve used in the past. A little trial run and I will stock up for the season after that.

Yep I got a notice today! Congrats and whew, take a deep breath, Dean. Excited to get new balls - 2 test packs in yellow. Ironically I am getting cataract surgery this month so the yellow should become a little less essential.
