All the Pro line balls are cast urethane EXCEPT for the Zero.  That's a TPU.

I did just by 10 dozen Vice Pro and 4 dozen Maxfli Tour tho.  🤦‍♂️

I also have 3 dozen 2019-2021 model TP5 left.  If anyone is interested in a trade for some Vice Pro Neon I would be interested.......

TaylorMade literally bought the damn factory/bought the company where Snell Balls were made: Nassau. 
 

I don’t know what Snell was supposed to do exactly.

 

It’s a shame really. He had found such a good pocket to exist in and made a great product. If anything Snell fans should be boycotting TM.  
 

I will stick with the company and try the new products and most likely continue to purchase them.  I have no Interest in paying $50+ per Dozen for Titleist or whatever.

I don’t have a dog in this fight since I don’t play Snell. However, I’m going to give Dean the benefit of the doubt that the new balls will be great. I mean I can’t believe guys are doubting the new ball before A) They have hit it or B) Doubting the guy who designed the Pro V and TM TP Red. Callaway, Bridgestone, and others use injection molded tpu and imho the Tour B X and CS X are two of, if not the best performing balls on the market. I’ll give the prime a try since it is a little softer than the previous models.

I don’t play Snell, not because they aren’t great quality, but because they aren’t the best for my game. However, I have ZERO doubt the new ball will perform great. It’s not like the guy who designed the Pro V and TP Red forgot how to design golf balls.

And his name is literally on the ball. With his history, I doubt that he'd forfeit his reputation willingly. I've played the Blacks and they are a great ball. Never quite felt as good as another DTC ball, but the quality and performance were definitely there. Still have a dozen+ that I will pull out some day.

They have a seam issues?!

No wonder I've been splitting those like crazy. I had a sleeve that came with my launch monitor and I don't think each ball lasted more than 1-2 weeks of casual practice.

I never experience cracking Srixon because I lose them before cracking.  at Black Gold, no forgiveness.

so odd, I've never had a Z star XV or diamond crack on me, and my driver SS is 115-120. I've always found them to be very durable

I’m having a tough time understanding why cast or whatever is better or worse. The wear patterns and color looks different on Bridgestone/callaway than a titleist but I’ve never seen any performance difference. 
 

I like the stickiness from TM and titleist but my game likes the BX and chrome soft x LS. Different strokes for different folks is all I understand

Yeah, it’s a well known issue, even Srixon know it but their response is that “it doesn’t effect playability”

I have primarily played with the 2017/19 ZStars over the past few 3 seasons and never experienced this personally, granted my swing is no where near as fast. With that said, the volume of reports in numerous threads gives the problem some credence. I can’t imagine the performance impact being much worse than a pattern with a noticeable seam.

The only seam issue I have is with my pants.  I split it the other day picking a ball out of the cup.  But that wasn't a Srixon problem, I just overstuffed the pants.  My brother in law owns a cannoli factory.  My pants have been having seam issues as a result.
