Finally a warmer day, but of course we had to get some overnight rain to muck things up. Have to find somewhere that's held up well to slide out on today...maybe time to hit up Prairie Bluff again?

I'm heading to the Quad Cities on Friday. TPC Deere Run on Friday, Palmer Hills and Fyre Lake on Saturday, and Byron Hills on Sunday morning. If I have any gas left in the tank I might play a 5th round on the way back home. 'Really hoping that we get a little cooperation on the weather front, but I'm not holding my breath.

Heading out to Calumet CC on Sunday. I'd like to get at least one more round in between Saturday or Monday, still not sure where. Like Arg, hoping for the best from the weather this weekend. I know I shouldn't say anything, we're all thinking we could really use the rain.

... Heads up: Prairie Bluff was scheduled to aerate their greens on Monday 5/20.

June 9: Hawksview at Lake Geneva. Possibly The "Not So" Brute the next day.

June 15: Oakbrook (local PTO charity day)

June 21-22: Eagle Ridge all 3 course over 2 days

June 29: Ann Arbor for the weekend so a local course out there.

Played there last year. It was in good nick. Loved the short par 4 that dropped down a few hundred feet.

I played there last year as well. It was fun, I was disappointed in the condition it was in though.

Appreciate any input from our Chicago group over in that thread on any options that may fit the bill in/around Orlando, especially since you guys will be familiar with the Chicago-area courses I used as representative examples of what I'm looking for.

Mt prospect was in great shape yesterday

 

Was at Flossmoor briefly yesterday earlier in the day and they had flooding around Butterfield Creek (no play in back 9)

 

Idlewild’s super has been tweeting about pumping water off of his course

 

People were playing at Racislie yesterday

 

Calumet looked super green but saw no one on course, but that was at 945 am

 

Hopefully the south and cebtrdl areas dry up soon

Calumet has opened their club for limited public play. The week day rate of approximately $55 isn't too bad. I've played the course once years ago and it was tight but fun. Can't speak to current conditions though.

Plan for tomorrow is Lost Marsh and then somewhere else on the way home. Hoping they don’t get hit too bad tomorrow morning. Called today and they are at 90 for the fairways.

A pleasant day out at TPC Deere Run. I teed off in a light rain, but five holes in the rain stopped. By the 12 hole blue skies appeared, along with the mosquitoes along the Rock River. Lol. I guess one can't ask for everything. The course was wet but playable. Cart path only all day. $66 with cart. Simply can't beat it.

 

A bit of a struggle on the front. I birdied the par 5 2nd, but the driver went AWOL until the final 6 holes. Once I started hitting fairways again I finished strong, with birdies on the 13th and 17th.

The Grove is in really good shape. The new GM added sand to a third of the bunkers and already has the greens rolling better than all of last year.
