Sole is a hair thinner, blade length looked identical to me. Compared it to the i25 demo head and blade length looked exactly the same.

Edit - the best way I can describe the head size/shape is if the i25 and s55 had a baby, and the child got its size and personality from i25, but good looks from s55.

The 431 steel is softer than the 17-4 stainless Ping is known for using. 431 is prone to chatter marks and small dings more than 17-4. In the quest for "soft," this can be the trade-off.

431 is softer than 17-4, but it's not soft in comparison with iron materials used for forged irons.

Someone posted earlier about the finish but trying to confirm whether these will be chrome plated or not? Recent S and i series irons have been chrome plated, as are the Glide wedges. Someone said these will not be chrome plated, but looking for more confirm or deny info.

Looking at it right now, sole is more narrow than i25 but there is a deep cavity where the ctp bar is hidden. Whoever said it was the offspring of 25 and 55 was spot on, this thing is gorgeous. Almost forgot, The finish is no where close to G series.

Pushed deeper into the cavity and toward the face maybe a fraction. Just as clean as the Glide wedges, but deeper into the cavity.

Man...if it really is as clean as the glide, where the cavity is just a smooth surface (super easy to wipe clean like blades ???? )), im almost 100% sure they'll be in the bag come July.
