Can't one of you dudes who has seen them compare them to the i25 or the S55 or the i10 size-wise and quit letting us dangle here??? Geez Louise.
Only saw the 7 iron. Maybe a slightly shorter blade length with a thinner topline and less offset. Real test will be seeing the 3 and 4 irons. Both new iron models have blue accents for those who are wondering.

I'll see if I can't sneak one when I see my rep soon. Highly unlikely though.

Good way to get your rep fired Waco, Tx!

Or myself. I'll leave my phone in my locker at work, I'll just take lots of mental photos and do my best to relay all the info back here.

Ping has a tough balancing act to get these right and fit between the G30 and S55. If they are any smaller and less forgiving than the i25 a lot of people are going to say just get the S55s. If they make them any larger people may want to just go with the G30s.

I think the i25s blend nicely with the Glide wedges. Cant wait to see these though.

This is the most anticipated Ping release for me in awhile...and the i25 was great. I don't play them but easily could. One thing for sure is Ping won't release anything that isn't an improvement over the previous version.

I know mine is a minority thought, but I'd like to see them try something i5 like for one cycle. Of course you couldn't call it that, but an iron that slimmed down on the sole and topline and with less offset that will appeal to people (ok, like me) that don't need the help getting the ball in the air the G30 provides and can't get past the G30 look.

What is Ping doing with the S Line? The 55s are 2 years old this summer.
S56s lasted 3 years. Wouldn't be surprised if the S55s were on the same cycle. A lot of pros and Golfwrx members play them but they are not a huge seller for Ping in relation to G and I irons.

I think the S55s were released November 1, 2013.

I'm fine with the i series, it was the launch of the Gs that I was referring to.

I could be in the minority here, but after demoing both s55 & i25 side by side, I found the s55 easier to hit/better suited for my swing than the i25. The s55 launched high & straight with great feel where the i25 ballooned a little too much and had a harsh feel on some shots. Could've been my swing or mental but seemed too much of a coincidence. Also the simplistic s55 look appeals to me more.

That being said, I am intrigued by the new I irons and would love them to steal the Glide look

I'm in the same minority as you. I owned both the i20s and i25s and while they were pretty good, I didn't find them as forgiving as the i5s I now play. Durability is much better with the older irons too.

The i20s and i25s aren't even in the same realm of mpf as the i5s. I know some don't care about those measurements but I like them as they give me a good indication of irons that suit my preferences. Even the s55s have a better mpf than the i20s/25s.

The i5s are a touch chunkier throughout the set vs. the new ones, so I can see the attraction to the shiny new stuff, but I'm with you in saying I'd like to see a slightly (and I mean slightly) trimmed up new i5.

I tried the G25s for several rounds but I just couldn't keep them down in the wind. I liked the forgiveness but they really went high, and they went high every time!

Should be interesting to see what Ping comes up with.

I had a chance to see the 7 iron today and they are really cool. In between the s55 and i25 size wise. Didn't get much info other than a look at it and a July release. I think it will be a very popular iron
Can you describe the CFP port, color and badging, etc?
Ping went with the same or similar finish and color scheme as the G30 irons. If by port you mean the silver thing in the back of the S55, I25 and Glides then it's the same. The difference though is on this one it's not visible from behind and tucked in a little cavity. I really don't want to say to much though
Interesting. So basically a blackish color like the G30? Sounds cool. I kind of like the color of my i25 irons. I wonder if they've got any new tech in them? Sole grind etc...?

I change too much to list it. Working on that...

I know nothing about the technology but I'll say the sole is smaller than the i25 but larger than the s55. It really fits right in between the two clubs and that's what the rep said also. I'll be interested to see if the offset is similar throughout the set and not as progressive like the i25s.

Thanks for the update.

Did you see them in person or a pic?
