Why is it always a secret? I feel like if the sooner that ping releases the pictures the more people will be interested in giving them a try by the release date. But it is always like this.. Everybody is waiting wanting to try/buy the clubs and ping acts like it's top secret Area 51 sh*t.

If there are pics available too far before they can be ordered then people get desensitized to it.

Once pics are out people then start complainig that they can't see/hit them for themselves.

Ping has simply approached some of their customers to let them know what is forthcoming.

Its not their fault the equipment junkies work themselves into a lather.

I am guessing this iron has been influenced by the S55, i25 and G30. Owners of all three clubs will consider putting this in their bags for the quality they like in their current irons, but wanting one of the other qualities of the other two offerings.

I saw the I-E yesterday. Slightly less offset than the I25. The top looked a little more rounded than the I25 as well.

Ping has simply approached some of their customers to let them know what is forthcoming.

Its not their fault the equipment junkies work themselves into a lather.

In the past, many people have said they can look at the picture or hold the iron, but the reps will not allow a picture to be taken.

However, people that have seen them should be free to describe what they saw. It's interesting that many who claim to have seen the iron are short on details.

Very true. I remember the same thing happening on the i10, i15, i20 and i25 threads. (though the i20 may have set an all time PING record for prerelease commentary...and a LOT of posts about PING actually using ferrules....

I'm not in the know, but I think it would be a breach of trust for a rep to show someone the irons only to have that person leak photos or description of the irons out to the public. Maybe it has already been said, but do we have a public release date yet for these irons? How long do I have to save up the cash?

I tried the Ping I30 yesterday, they feel great and yes you can get them with project X shafts.

Right? All anyone has said is they have the blue accent and possibly a dark finish. No one has described the main cosmetics at all. Anyone who claims to have seen them and says 'I can't really say anything' is just blowing smoke.
