After that i'd play the driver as if it was my normal everyday shaft taking to various courses and seeing how it holds up in my game. Lastly i'd compare it to my old driver shaft to see where it excels and where I disliked it. [/color]

I would do on course testing using also trackman in a couple of specific holes, using only Premium balls (TM TP). Monday to Friday I can do this with my pro in several courses in my área. Nice weather in northern Spain will help also. I will compare with several other shafts as well. Trackman data will be included in my review. I have the impression that it would be an ideal shaft since I love the feeling of my KK black but miss some more tip stability when I go for it.

I would test on an outdoor range that I frequent. I don't need launch monitors to tell how long I am or the spin. I Like watching actual ball flight. The range has a fence in the back running diagnally from 240 yards to 300 yards. It is very easy to see where the ball lands and carries

I would get another 915 demo head from my local shop, place in the same settings as my D2, same head, and hit 2-3 drives with each on each hole that requires a driver. Testing would be based on dispersion as well as distance and would use PV1x across the board, all brand new. I would warm up until my SS is at a normal speed and tempo for me. I would start with the KURO KAGE, hitting about 15 balls and deleting 2 of the BEST and worse hits. This would allow me to get a true baseline of what the club is doing. Repeat the above step for my Speeder 757.[/color]

Hit here would allow me to get a REAL feel for the club. It will allow me to see trajectory and what the shaft is doing in the head. [/color]

The range I use has ProV1 balls, It is a college team practice range so I can mark some balls and measure the distances. No trackman or anything like that available. I have drivers that have been dialed in, including a 910D2, so I can measure the flight against a number of different shafts including a matrix/aldila RIP, and the stock G30. I'm not looking for huge distance gains, just consistency and feel.

Testing would be done in two parts: launch monitor testing and on course evaluation, both with brand new premium golf balls (TaylorMade TPx). Launch monitor testing would be done at a highly regarded local custom club fitting shop that uses indoor LM fittings. The KK Black TiNi would be compared with my current gamer shaft and with a backup shaft, a Tour AD-DI6s. The primary focus of the results would be to compare launch data with current shafts (launch, spin, etc) and also would look at total dispersion of the shots that are struck near the center of the face. If a Silver TiNi is available at my fitter for testing, data will be compared to the Black TiNi.

On course evaluation would consist of head-to-head testing against the other shafts by hitting 3-5 balls per shaft and normalizing the results of each (excluding any severe outliers). This would not be range testing. This would be done on the course with premium balls and every attempt will be made to perform the test in a multitude of wind conditions, specifically downwind and into the wind. Finally, the KK Black TiNi will be used in one or more 18 hole rounds of golf to get a sense for the performance of the shaft when the chips are down and you need to post a score. All on course testing will focus on carry distance, total distance, and ability to hit desired shot shape.

I would start by taking it straight to the course to compare it to my current Kage XT/Matrix Black Tie 6m3, so there isn't a launch monitor bias. I'm lucky enough to work at a facility with trackman, so I would take all three shafts there next. On course will be the most important factor, as I am feel player that would rather see results over monitor numbers, which is why I love the XT. I also use a Kuro Kage Black Hybrid Shaft and haven't taken it out of the bag for years.
