COVINGTON, Ga., April 12, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Bridgestone Golf, the #1 ball-fitter in golf and a recognized industry innovator, announced today it has signed rising star Bryson DeChambeau to its premier lineup of Tour players using Bridgestone's premium golf balls.

DeChambeau, who earned the silver cup as the low amateur at the 2016 Masters, will make his professional debut on the PGA Tour on Thursday at the RBC Heritage, at Harbour Town Golf Links in Hilton Head, SC. When he takes the course as a pro for the first time he'll be using the 2016 Tour B330-S golf ball and will be outfitted with gloves from Bridgestone Golf.

"I take every part of my game seriously and spend a considerable amount of time thinking about how each element will allow me to compete at the highest level," said DeChambeau. "When it was time to make a decision on the golf ball I would use as a professional, it was clear after a thorough review that Bridgestone Golf's Tour B330-S was the best fit for me. I'm excited to be a part of Bridgestone's team and benefit from the precision they put in to each and every ball made."

It is funny how the OEMs don't want to let this kid be another Jordan Spieth and get gobbled up by the big companies like Tiltleist and UA. Tossing money early and hoping he kills it

Good for him, Bridgestone makes some of the best balls in the business in my opinion. Only reason I'm going to play Srixon this year is because I got 4 dozen personalized around Christmas for like $90...

B330s is an awesome golf ball. Little surprised with them talking about his 120+ MPH clubhead speed this weekend he's putting the s in play over the standard.

If you scroll down to the closeup where he's teeing the ball up, they are clearly Puma, though I don't know which ones.

I was looking for the specific Puma model. My buddy is a huge puma fan...

Puma TitanTour Ignite. Great shoe.

I thought that might be it but was thrown off by the red/black dial on the outer side of his each foot.

You're talking about the shoe on the homepage picture, not the meetbryson page.......

EDIT: I'm sorry. It's the same picture. On my laptop his feet are cut off on the meetbryson page. I think I'll skulk gracelessly to the corner and STFU

If a mad scientist is playing them, I need to give them a shot. Last time I tried Bridgestone, it was a full ten yards behind my old ball with the driver and 5 yards in irons. But that was in 2006.

Yes that's the picture. Is that a BOA system? If not, any thoughts on what the red/black circle is?

It could be one of many things like spin ratio, decent angle, or extra spin around the greens.

I just switched from ProV1x to the B330 because it's noticeably longer off every club. First round I played with it I was hitting all my approach shots deep and didn't think that it was the ball until going back to my last sleeve of ProV1x. It's definitely not shorter, not for me anyway.

Good for Bryson, hoping he does really well on tour.

I hate to be the idiot in this thread, oh well, but are the B330s with the giant B on them tour only?

I have some of the 2016 B330s and it's just normal script as always.

I'm with you I like the B logo but not the Bridgestone Golf logo....it's hard to get me off the Callaway Soft though.

Kutchar plays the S too. Not so much about the club head speed as it is control vs distance. Now if he was playing the RX that would be a HUGE question mark. The difference between the 330 and 330S is like the Pro V1 vs V1x

That makes sense. I always played the S just because I liked the softer feel a bit more but I guess there are probably lots of unknowns. He could just be a really low spin striker of the ball and the extra spin may be wanted, etc.
