Who said there wasn't going to be a release of new blades for 2017? Here in Sweden you can't custom order the Vapor Pro Blades anymore, you're just told to wait for the new blades for 2017. Same goes for VPC and Speed. Big price drops for all Vapor irons(the originals, not Fly irons)

And I want to say this is easily the most dramatic discount in such a fast period than any line in recent years. I'm not sure what that means or where I'm going with this really, it's interesting. Nike isn't titleist when it comes to holding price, but they sure as hell aren't taylormade either. This move is as close to Taylormade like as they ever have been. I wonder what that means for the new line. Hopefully a sooner launch?

Yea this is an odd move.. Here we have Taylormade sticking with the m1/m2 line for a while now. And Nike is the one possibly coming out with new woods in the same year and making the price drop.

 

I'm all for Nike, but this is not the best approach from a pricing standpoint.

Eh, they could have done a $50 price drop, then $100, then $100 w/ a gift card. But, you're Nike, why bother? They don't need to try to squeeze every last dollar out of their line like some companies. Personally, I feel like they could have done a package deal or even experiment with tying the clubs to apparel or balls. That way it isn't a straight price drop, and instead encourages buyers to buy more. ice never been able to get behind the price drop move for current gear, there are better ways to move inventory.
