Am I in the minority here thinking that their equipment was mehh at best anyhow? The notable exception may be their balls. In hindsight maybe they should love partnered with someone like mizuno or miura?

As one of the Nike fanboys and someone who grew up with the brand in other sports (always been a basketball player and even wore Nikes in middle school as a wrestler) this is crushing. I am glad I got a bag full of Nike clubs and will stock up on the golf balls as I have been loving the RZN platiums and blacks. The move seems to have been in the works with them pushing so many shoes and clothing lately

It is too bad, but save a few hit and miss niche products, their hard goods have been a bust. I worked for Nike, live in Oregon and know that culture, and it is sad for me personally. But the blue and volt ideas were mistakes, the cavity back driver idea wasn't well received, it just seemed like they were always overcoming something. I just wish they could have made a normal, classic looking set of woods. My Nike VR forged irons are now a prized possession. Look normal, preform great. RIP

So about 15 minutes or so ago I received an alert from bleacher report, which is a fairly credible sources, saying that Nike golf will be transitioning out of making golf clubs. Although it did not give a timeline, I would believe that all the Jason day and DJ to Nike rumors seem bleaker than ever.

 

I would also like to know what this means for the return of The goat Tiger.

How does this affect Rory and his contract?

 

So many questions to ask.

 

I am a Nike guy myself and am really disappointed to see that they have given up on the golf club part to focus on apparel.

Nike did do one set by miura. The set I currently game. The vrs forged heads were bought by Nike from miura in the limited set. Nike just stamped their stuff on it.
