I went to my local FedEx Office store and bought their club packing/shipping box. It's the one that they use for shipping entire sets for vacations, travel, etc. Set me back $12. I had two sets of irons and about 15 other clubs. Filled the open space with random packing materials. Everything fit without any issue.

I hate that crap! Used a $10 off coupon at Golfsmith today, on tees! Because it's pretty much the only thing not excluded on the coupon.

They received my clubs Thursday and I just got my gift certificate now. I'm very pleased. No deductions of any kind, although I'll admit I was nervous about a couple of ferrules and sand marks near the topline (quasi sky marks) on one of the drivers. Global golf has a new customer for sure.

If you mean you will get more credit put back on your card than you spent with Global Golf, that's not what they do in the case of more trade-in credit than you spend with them. They will only credit back to your card up to the amount you spend with them. Anything over that amount will be issued back to you in the form of an e-gift certificate.

I am a definite believer. First trade completed, took a grand total of 4 whopping days to ship the clubs to them and have the money back on my card. Outstanding. Then when you throw in all of the purchase discounts on top of the 40% premium, it's almost unreal how cheaply you can remake a bag, or clear out unused items for something you want. Second trade in underway. If only they allowed shafts only, I'd be in business! As it is, I'm still looking at about $600 in credit after buying a full set of irons for my son, a hybrid, a wedge, and an M1. Such a great alternative to eBay if you're looking to flip clubs for other clubs, or other golf-related items, instead of just cash.

FedEx (particularly Ground) sucks. Fly-Z driver completely snapped in two - the box looked like someone bent it over their knee.

 

Global Golf was great as always, I'll be getting a refund as they have no more in stock. Just sucks because this was a gift for my girlfriend before a golf weekend out in the desert. :(
