Just got these, thanks to all the feedback on this thread and special one to kingkong for helping with placing the order for an amazing deal, which I could not resists.

 

Original apex (still have them) to these , hmmmm :-)

 

Luckily it's around 60 and these will get some decent range time today.

Got my order of 5-P 765's and a 4 U65 a couple of days ago. I was able to put on the grips I like and now I'm going to wait for the RTX wedges I'm gonna order and a new bag. I just don't want to take them out of the plastic. So sweet looking!!!

I've had mine in play since essentially release day. They only get better the more I play them (pretty sure I've already said that before). I actually gave mine a new "paint job" with some Carolina Blue instead of the standard black. Hopefully this monsoon/rain storm on the West Coast calms down so I can get out this weekend!

Have not hit the 765s yet but trying different shafts in a set of used 745s to try and find the right match. Currently have 4-9 in 745 and 945 in PW. Shafts are Modus 120X. I absolutely love everything about them through the 6i. 5 iron is just OK with launch in the x-stiff shaft and 4 iron is definitely too low and loss of distance. I have another test set of Mizzy 850 forged with Modus 120s in them and they feel a bit mushy and dispersion is not as good or distance. Might be a tweeter situation or just try another shaft? I am so close but just not sure where to go from here?

 

Long time DG X100 and more recently S300 guy looking for another shaft option. Thinking of trying the DG AMT shafts since they might give me the control and trajectory I am looking for but lighter shafts on the longer irons may help with higher launch?

 

Any thoughts would be appreciated. I really want to like the Modus shafts since almost all of them feel so good!

 

Last detail is that i am a tall player and need +1" and a couple degrees up. Srixon feel and play amazing. Would have never even picked them up if I had not been checking out this thread!

Sweet looking. Love the grips! I just installed GP CP2 Pros on my 745s best decision I made!

:-), I use the pure pro's on my apex irons, these were the closest they offered. So far (1 range session) they do feel really nice. Similar to pure's but more tackier.

Will certainly need some play before I can decide if they're staying. But from what I've heard these last a really long time. Just wished they had a few more colors to offer.

I don't like the shafts for me personally. There's a lot of guys using the x100 softstepped and love them, but for me I should have gotten tour v 120x, as they don't have the nippon I like either. So I hit them on one occasion and selling so I can get the correct shaft for me. Nothing wrong with them at all...

Your price is fair, but agree the 745/945 combos are less popular than 745/545 combo. That shaft is a bit of a niche one,too. Good luck though - still a beautiful iron set!

Just ordered a Z565 4 iron and the Z765 AW to go with my Z765 5-PW. Got a RTX-3 65* wedge for Christmas to replace my old SW due to gapping changes. We've been stuck in the deep freeze here in the pacific Northwest, so I have only used the 5-PW on the course once. Can't wait to give them another, go, especially with the add ons!

Send the irons back into Srixon for reshafting. I've sent two sets back and they did a great job at getting it sorted out.

If you want a good combo of Modus feel and launch of DG AMT go with PX LZ's! That is what I just ordered, I've played DG AMT and Modus 120's. AMT's aren't bad, I played them in X100 last year but PX LZ might be a winner!

 

PX LZ are easy to launch, nice penetrating and boring ball flight. More of a Modus feel.
