My new babies. Wish is wasn't -25 Celsius out today! Still going to be a while till I can take these outside.

They look great! Mine are coming this week and I can't wait! Unfortunately they're coming the same day as a foot of snow. Ugh

With the exception of 7i that I have in 965, I have exactly te same set.

Finally took them on the course Saturday and hit them pure. Almost had my very first hole in one for the very first time I hit my 9i. I d call it a good start

Have you noticed any gap distances breaking from the 765 & 965? I believe I read the 965's spin more than the 765's.

I only have 3 rounds in the 765 AW but so far it is making me question it like others have mentioned. I need to play it in warmer weather to see if the distance drop I have experienced is weather related or if it is actually the club. So far it is the only club that I have noticed that launches high on me and I have them all in a PX 6.5.

What do you mean by distance drop.....How far do you hit it compared with your pitching wedge?

Stock PW for me is 130 and stock AW is 110. Every other club is 10 yard gap and my 55* is 100 yards.

I don't mind it now that I'm used to it but I'm used to the 20 yard drop being at the AW-SW not PW-AW

I have a set coming my way, 4 thru A wedge.....It will be interesting how this works for me.....In my case, I always seem to have a pretty good gap between a full wedge and a gap wedge.....i seem to have less gap between sand wedge and gap wedge.

That's odd. I have the 745 irons and a 765 Gap wedge(shop couldn't get the 745 AW, so I just had them order the 765), and I haven't noticed that big of a difference between the two. Usually a ten yard difference, maybe a couple more. They have the same shafts in them. Maybe check the lofts? Some people on here have found their lofts to be out of spec on these sometimes.

Same here. I have the same shaft in it as the rest of my z's and there's maybe a 10-12 yard gap. I absolutely love this club but I tend do well with matching gap wedges.

Doesn't matter if I can't use them yet. A blizzard wasn't going to stop me from picking up my 765's from FedEx on my way to work this morning! At least I can stare at them in my office all day to keep my mind off the weather.

Yeah at least they'll be happy about this damn blizzard while I'm staring at my new irons.

I did have the lofts checked and the AW bent to 50*

I have heard that the 65 does fly a club shorter

Can any steep AoA players review the sole? I had some issues with the MP53 soles which offered relief but, as some have said, are quite a bit different...

I've hit these and have the RTX 3 wedges, which have a similar sole it seems, and had no issues. I'm used to thin soled irons and wedges in general, but I've never really found anything to dig unnecessarily / haven't had to utilize the sole to save me from digging. That's not a brag. I have plenty of other misses, but hitting it fat is less of an issue generally. AoA is between -5 and -7 per trackman.

Finally took them on the course Saturday and hit them pure. Almost had my very first hole in one for the very first time I hit my 9i. I d call it avoid start

Have you noticed any gap distances breaking from the 765 & 965? I believe I read the 965's spin more than the 765's.

Need bigger sample to conclude, but I hit a perfect 6i (765) on Saturday that carried 175m into a light breeze. I did not hit my 7i on that day but played 2 8i (965) which carried both 150m. This worries me a tiny bit about 7 to 6 iron gap being more than 10m

I have my 765 bent 1 degree weak to minimize the gaping.

But again this is way too soon to conclude anything on such small amount of shots

Even if you do have a small gap, that's really no issue. You can dial down the 7-iron 5-10 yards no problem.

Sorry for delayed response. Distance drop was compared to my previous sets AW which was also 51* (although it was never checked for loft accuracy so maybe that is the cause). My standard gapping was:

PW (46*) - 150

AW (51*) - 130-135

SW (56*) - 115

With the 765 AW, my standard swing is flying 120-125. Could be the colder weather but I am not seeing any other significant distance drops with my other irons. Just something I will be watching for the next few rounds.

I've tried a couple sets of z765's with different shafts, and I tried a bunch of shafts during a recent demo day with Srixon and I just didn't care for the z765 irons. I have no issues with my z945's and my Ping I E1's. At least I can say I did give them an honest try. Still are probably the best looking irons out there.
