SRIXON 765 Initial thoughts and pics!

Did some research into the Mitchell loft and bending machine for some tips into avoiding indentation and marks occurring in my new clubs if I needed to ajust the lofts. After getting my lofts checked I was happy to find out that everthing was bang on except for my 9 iron out half a degree which Is fine.

Spent a few hours dialling in my carry distances with the cg2 simulator.Pretty well same numbers as my 745 irons, but I am adjusting my contact point.I think the sweet spot was a touch closer to the heel on my 745 and more center with the 765.Hoping it won't be much longer to get outside,at least get a few ranges open once the snow starts to melt.

I am seriously considering these clubs to replace my 2011 TM MCs. My miss is usually low on the face or toe - I have heard a bit of conflicting information on these.

Also, are people finding these don't spin very much? I do need something that can fly onto the green and stop - not sure if the 965 would be better in that respect?

They spin perfectly fine (765), very consistent flight and spin

For those of you eyeing the new Srixon irons, Budgetgolf has them on sale. Srixon z765 4-AW or 3-PW for only $699, and z965 4-PW for $699. I picked up a set of the z765 with Nippon modus 3 120 shaft. Haven't seen the price lower than this. At first I thought maybe Srixon is already clearing them out, but I checked all the major websites and ebay, no one else has it on sale but Budgetgolf. Grab them while you can.

I have found the spin to be very good - not too high and not too low. The only safeguard I made was substituting the 4i for a u65 23*, but that was more for forgiveness than spin. You'll love 'em!

How were you able to select the Nippon Modus 3 120's? It's only showing Dynamic Gold's as an option.

I would want to pick these up if I can get them with Project X 6.5's.

The 2015 745s had dynamic gold correct? Maybe it's just a typo and they are the previous version?

The z765s are still available on Budgetgolf for $699. The inventory seems to change day to day. Yesterday when I checked, you were right, the ones with Modus 3 shaft were out of stock, but tonight it seems to be back in stock. My guess is people are buying them and the modus 3 shaft is more popular the than dg shaft.

Loving my set, didn't get quite that good of a deal as the budget sale but close, but I also added the new rtx 3 wedges and the u65. The RTX 3's are an awesome match to the set with a very similar sole grind in the 2 dot version. And the u65....probably my new favorite club in my bag. So easy to hit and launch from tee or fairway. DO NOT SLEEP ON THE U65!

Irons: PXG 0311P Gen 3 4-P
Wedges: Zipcore Tour Rack 50/54/60

I just ordered a 565/765/rtx 3 combo with KBS Tours. I am looking at the U65 to replace the 565 4i. What kind of shaft did you put in the U65? What do you have in the irons?

I went with the modus 120X in the u65 and 4-gap, then modus 125 stiff in the 55 and 60 wedges. (55 is 54 bent). Same idea as my old x100 to s400 in wedges concept. Very very happy with the set. Like I said, as great as everything is, the u65 impresses me that much more. I've always struggled finding the right 5 wood or hybrid to fit that 18-19* gap, and this 2 iron bent to 19 is it.

After 2 weeks of platonic love, i finally had the opportunity to take my 765/965 combo to the range.

I m afraid I ll have to paraphrase many before me. They are awesome.

Tight dispersion, amazing feel, direct feedback on the hit. They r shorter than my previous set, but that was the intention as I needed to close the gap between my pw and 50•.

after i I hit a few balls with my TMB 2 iron and went back the srixon, the difference was so huge, i now am shopping the titleist. Or maybe i d need to change the shaft.

I hesitated quite long whether to take the 7 in 965. I did and gladly so. But then I looked at the face and noticed I hit everything from the middle. So I ll give it a few rounds before confirming I went the right way

There all scoring clubs. Think small aim small. The 5 iron is my favorite iron in the set. The 945 4-6 irons are the real joy to hit in this set.

I went in today with an open mind and hit them all. I'll admit the 965s look a little better but not much. When struck perfectly I think they also feel a little better. That said, it was hard to argue the law of averages. I was more consistent with the 765s and don't feel like I'm sacrificing anything. I was also surprised, after playing KBS tour for 8 years in several sets, how pure I was swinging the S300's. I was making much better contact with an almost perfect dispersion with the s300's. Shipped out my '13 X-forged irons this morning and couldn't be more excited to order the 765's this week!

I traded away my titleist ap's for the 745... Now deciding if I want to "upgrade" to the newest version. What do you guys think? or is the difference small enough I should just wait for the next version?

I have to add... the 745's are amazing clubs. I'm seriously in love with the flight of the 7 iron. Shafted with C-taper 120's btw.
