SRIXON 765 Initial thoughts and pics!

I traded away my titleist ap's for the 745... Now deciding if I want to "upgrade" to the newest version. What do you guys think? or is the difference small enough I should just wait for the next version?

 

I have to add... the 745's are amazing clubs. I'm seriously in love with the flight of the 7 iron. Shafted with C-taper 120's btw.

 

Pretty much all of the comparisons have said they are seemingly identical. There is the different sole and maybe some data that shows some differences, however, I'm sure it's fairly negligible to most of us.

 

I can tell you my only experience was during my fitting last weekend my buddy went and grabbed a couple irons off the rack to compare and I didn't realize I was hitting some of the 45's until I realized the red grips were the old clubs.

I hit my z945 with Modus3 Tour 105 stiff 6 iron at lunch time again today on the local sim.. seems every time I hit anything from the set I realize I like them even more. I need to give the z765 irons another try, as I've heard too many good things about them not to try them (again..)

I hit my 965 765 combos with Aerotech 110 xflex shafts for the first time and they are so pure! I never hit the 45's but I'm excited to play the 65's the turf interaction really is awesome and impressive!

Long shot, but does anyone have any comparisons to jpx800 pros?

I played 4-GW 800 Pros w/ ProX 6.0's the past 5 or so years before I purchased the 765 w Modus 120x (565 4 iron) in December. Size wise, they are fairly close with the 765 being a bit smaller. The 765 seem like they weigh a little more. The turf interaction is better with the 765's. They are just as forgiving as the 800's but feel better on flushed rips. Have a real nice heavy hit feel to them. They flight really well. Honestly, there is nothing I miss about my 800's. And that is coming from a lifetime Mizuno player. Great set of sticks.

I played the 745 last year and did switch to the 765.I got a good trade in deal and discounted price on the 765 so the upgrade cost was not much.I preferred the little longer face length of the 765 and the shape is a bit more rounded.The weight at the back of the club is also moved towards the toe.At this stage I have to give the feel to the 745,maybe because I am stricken the ball a little closer to the heal of my new ones.

Looking to pick up the RTX 3 wedges to match my set, but should I grab the 765 AW and match my iron shaft (PX LZ 6.0), go softer in shaft flex, or just grab the Cleveland wedges?

I finally got to get some time with my Z765's at the range and found them easy to hit and I like the ball flight. I have these shafted with the Modus 125 Stiff

and so far so good. My gamers are Endo forged OnOff Kuros with Modus 120 Stiff.

 

Today I got to spend and hour on FlightScope and the numbers with my Z765s were pretty good but the Kuros are staying in the bag for now.

I would say the 565 are close for distance and forgiveness to the Apex cf16

I generally use my AW for full to 3/4 shots so I got it to match the set for consistency per the guidance of my fitter. It's bent to 50* to keep the gapping with the rest of my wedges. Not sure how it's worked out yet because I just got my set yesterday.

Have not seen this thread for a while,and since I am boarded out of my brain and it was - 30 c this morning I figured I would go to this Srixon 765 thread and read about how great theses irons are going to be one the weather breaks.Tomorrow I have a game book for indoor golf with the simulators.One good thing is no bangs and dents on my new irons yet.
