We do this dance every year, though. I remember during the fun of the R15 build the club, tons of folks had heard different adapter. It was a relief when the same one showed up at the door.

The way I understand it is that the weights shown are not the actual weight to be used in production and their shape is to be different than the previous weights. Also there may be a different adjustable hosel not shown. Testing begins late November. Potential PGA Show debut with delivery in February/March.

For trolls that means almost two years after the original M1 release. Wouldn't expect an M2 variant until the fall of '17 at the earliest, maybe Show time 2018.

It will be interesting to see if it produces more distance. As another member said put the right shaft in it and the M1 and M2 are untouchable. And just look at all the Tours. Seems like doesn't matter who their sponsored by so many guys are hitting M1 or M2. Just last night I watched a few minutes of seniors and couldn't believe my eyes Tom Pernice, life time Titleist guy hitting M2. Tiger, Rory and so many more.

odd that the weights are not recessed at all, I can see them getting ripped off the head in multiple scenarios.

 

It looks to me like the face sole plate sits lower than those weights do.. Thus protecting it from all of the abuse you guys are mentioning.

I wonder if the weights will be slightly heavier so the RPMs will change more moving it from front to back.

Exactly, could be a different adapter, but that doesn't mean the old one won't work in this head or vice versa. They could be going to a different degree of adjustment.

In my opinion / based on my experience the M line is the best line from TMag since the RBZ 2 line (just my own experience)
