Is the Rogue I/O Shaft High Launch/Low Spin?

Does Cally have a chart like what you see with TaylorMade and Titleist giving you an idea of launch and spin with their shaft offerings?

Thanks! I was there earlier but didn't scroll all the way to the end. It looks like some of the shaft options for the EPIC aren't listed there though like the Rogue Max

Is the Rogue I/O Shaft High Launch/Low Spin?

I just started gaming this in my 816 DBD at the end of the season (final round), and fell in love. I spent 2 hours at the simulator this morning, and that special feeling is still there. I think it may unseat the Hashimoto....

I was surprised, as I did not like the silver at all, but guess they are different shafts.

I went into a fitting today with the intention of optimizing my current driver and walked out with the epic. Big difference was on mishits; for me, the epic was straighter and further on mishits than my 915D4 by a considerable margin. Ended up getting fit to the normal GBB epic in 9.0 degrees with a kuro kage XT70. Not sure if everyone will see the same results as I did, but I would definitely recommend trying it out.

I hit the 2017 GBB Epic and 2017 M1 460 both 10.5 heads. Both were were within a few yards of each other. The Taylormade was a bit longer with better launch and spin numbers. This being said the 2016 M1 is just as good as the 2017 M1. Callaway improved their drivers this year but nothing mind blowing. Epic SZ was not available but I would need a 10.5 head and they don't make it for lefties.

What's your driver speed if you don't mind me asking? Are you normally a higher ball hitter? I want the SZ with the weight in the back adjusting the lie to the D setting, but also don't want knuckleballs either.. Was going to go 10.5 on the head.

I'm very puzzled at how folks who hit both said they look identical from the top. Not at all!!! The shapes are very different to me.

Would you consider it low/low Warrick? What's the tip stiffness like?

I would, not like whiteboard or black tie low/low, but definitely not high launch, was getting really good numbers once I got warmed up. Launch average were 12-13, spin around 2500, but it was a simulator.

I think that me be the thing for me on this one, seems like the tip is just a touch softer, works well with the "tempo" swing.

I still need a few more rounds on course, as the Oban Hashimoto is a great, smooth, stable shaft that I enjoyed playing last year.

SZ 10.5 ordered since it cost me nothing. Definitely disappointed with the shaft options but I was already planning on plugging in one of my gamers. Will be interested to see if Callaway expedites shipping on orders not through them, but either way excited to get it on the course.

If you are in the US, and your order was placed at an authorized dealer, your driver should be there on the launch date.

Aaaaanyone know why the 13.5 fairway is 14cc larger in profile than the 15?

It's not!

13.5 - 173

15 - 179

18 - 158

...

Where you getting that? On callaway site it says

13.5 - 168

15 - 159

18 - 151

I seen somehwere that the 13.5 was 173 thats why i asked about the diff

Question: I understand I will want to get fit and all that, but is it even worth it for me to look at the Sub-Zero with a 95-97 club head speed?

I would. I have 90-95 mph clubhead speed and hit a fairly high ball. Am typically around 215-220 carry with my GBB. Was around 220 with the Epic. Asked to try the Sub Zero in 10.5* and hit the best drives, numbers wise, of my life. Was getting 225-230 carry with a couple in the 235 carry range. I was very surprised especially considering it had the Aldila Rogue 75 in a stiff flex. Either way the combo worked.

Tony, these numbers are for the SZ. Guv's numbers are for the standard Epic.

So the take away is 50% of ppl love and see an upgrade

50% see no upgrade to their current drivers

Conclusion: Hype. Any great fitter could take any of the top drivers on the market and show gains unless already dialed...

Jailbreak technology does the same thing as other technologies already out. Increases ballspeed on mishits.

I wouldn't call it hype, the SZ version is producing high ball speed and low spin across the face in ways other drivers aren't. It may do the same thing but it seems to be doing it better. I will reserve judgement until I hit it, but I have not seen reviewers produce the numbers they get with Epic SZ consistently with any other club.

Had a fitting today

2017 M2 vs Epic

Rogue silver 70x 125msi in both

New TM TP5X for 2017 M2 hits

Chrome soft for Epic hits

5 shot rotation

10.5 M2 set to 9.75 (1 click lower)

9* epic set to 10* and neutral

50 shots each with outliers (25yds offline) thrown out

New Bag in the making...
