It is truly fascinating to me that he continues to say he isn't in pain. Anybody who watched him play the 1st round in Dubai could clearly see that he wasn't moving well and was walking excruciating slow at times.

Why continue to lie about what is really going on?

I would not be surprised to see Tiger retire before the end of this season. He just can't get any momentum and at some point he's going to have to accept his fate.

- Josh

I agree. But put yourself in his shoes. If he admits any pain the media will pounce. He would have double the cameras in his face and more ignorant questions than you could shake a stick at. It's a loose loose at this point. Vultures circling hoping for failure so their pitiful jobs are made easier reporting the "news".

:WTF: :cheesy: :crazy2:

Source is telling me that a Major press conference is in the works for TW retirement. ....breaking news!

I have been a member on this board for a long time but don't post much recently...but this one cracks me up. Do you think anyone one this board buys that you have a "source" in Tigers camp?? give it a rest .

Tiger's camp only needs to be one person - a shrink!

I still believe in Tiger Woods

some people believe the planes on 9/11 were holograms.

Some people don't jump off bandwagons that easy either. I wish we had forums in the late 80's and early 90's when Jack Almighty was nothing more than a ceremonial player who lucked into an 18th major 4 or 5 years past his prime because guys faded at the end and Nicklaus' giant putter got hot.

lol you understand you sound like a crazy person right? Totally contradicting yourself. You start by lamenting those who jump off bandwagons too early, then go about explaining how jack was a washed up has been in 1986.

Thanks for demonstrating how unhinged sycophants are so personally invested in Tigers success. It runs so deep, you're willing to sound like an absolute fool in trying to minimize jacks win at the masters. It just tears you up inside doesn't it? It can't be that Jack AND Tiger are the 2 all time greats right? You're actually bitter that not everyone reveres Tiger.

And my god I hate it when washed up ceremonial golfers luck there way around to a Sunday 65 including a back 9 30 to win the masters.

So now I'm an "unhinged sycophant" because I placed my opinion in this forum? I bet when you posted your positive response you were seething so much that spittle was dripping from your jaws. And by the way, you are very welcome. And thank you for proving my point about Jack Almighty.

No, he's not done. He pushed too fast too soon. He's not 25 anymore and his head has to catch up to physical reality.

Rest, heavy therapy, REST, Practice...Rinse and Repeat.

Makes the Genesis and Arnies Home that much more exciting to see if he can go.

You don't sign all those Sponser Deals either if you aren't 1000 % sure you can play.

I certainly could be wrong but hope I'm not. Golf is better with Tiger playing and competing against the young guns out there.

If I recall correctly, when Ben Hogan returned after his accident he had to make some swing changes, and in addition, he only played 8 to 10 events a year.

I guess everyone loves a good train wreck. I have never been much of a TW fan. He just never had much personality in the interviews and the way he interacted with the fans. I don't wish any ill will on the guy, in fact I feel sorry for him. It is amazing to me how fame and fortune can wack out someone so badly.

Seriously, retire and take your 800 million dollars and enjoy your two beautiful children. Jump in the booth and announce the majors. Just by staying involved in golf he would keep his status and relevance. I worry about what he will do to his long term health.

I just don't understand why he commands so much air time. I get he is the greatest golfer ever...in my eyes the second. I personally could care less about the drama. It has been going on since 2009 and I think everyone knows that he is done and has been for some time.

Why then as golfers would we rather watch a golfer who is ranked some 600+ in the world who's play is in line with that ranking? Show me more coverage of all these great young players we have on the tour. I would rather follow Henrik Stenson on Live coverage all round than watch Tiger bogey all the time.

Show me all of the shots from the 16th green from the Waste Management on Morning Drive rather than have hours of experts calling in to discuss back spasms.

If I wanted drama I would watch BRAVO tv with my wife.

I agree with everything you said except that "Tiger was the greatest golfer ever". Bobby Jones, Jack and Arnie were better!

I should bite my tongue, but dragging Jack into this with such a stupid comment is kind of dumb.

Beyond stupid.

By the way, minus a few lipouts he would have won the '98 Masters at 58, but finished 6th and beat the defending champ / phenom Tiger Woods.

Stay on topic where silly comments are less likely to be noticed in this thread.

I used it as an example and it proved my point. Any joke or quip about Woods is totally acceptable but when you mention anything bad about Nicklaus that is when the train goes off the rails. I'm sorry. I will never post any opinion of his royal Bearness again, even though you didn't say please.

I am a huge tiger fan and to see him WD is very disappointing. I really think his back is fine he just did not want to look foolish out there with tougher conditions approaching. He need to suck it up and keep playing. I don't buy anything about his back any more because he even said its not an issue.

He never should have made the trip. I've got a bad back and traveling always makes me stiff for at least a few days. A flight that long, even in first class, would surely knot him up. Stupid.

The first class he was riding in would be the equivalent of my living room with an attached shower/spa. The travel wasn't the problem.

It's not like he was in the middle seat in row 56G stuck next to a crying baby. These international airlines first class cabin these day often have their own room.

Tiger feels he needs an agent to speak for him and provide all the excuses to the media. Tiger is pathetic on so many levels...

Tiger didn't want the media asking him why he said he wasn't injured yesterday when he looked injured then withdrew today due to a back injury

It may not be an injury; just spasms from his present and ongoing

problems.

Spasms usually represent an underlying issue, i.e., they are a symptom, not the problem itself.

Ya, but I had back spasms and the underlying issue was just a strain

and nothing serious so spasms don't necessarily mean something

serious is going on with his back.
