I am starting to think when Inbee is 45 with 3 kids and retired for 10 years, she will be able to show up for a charity outing and shoot under par without touching her clubs for a year.

Wie's swing is looking really good.

 

 

To me it looks weird, especially in comparison to when she was younger. I remember her swing being compared to Ernie Els when she was young because of her length, tempo, and fluidity. Now she looks hunched over, legs bowed out, and seems to be lashing at it. I think she's gonna have some serious back issues at some point. Good to see her contending though....

Her driver swing is noticeably different from what I recall. Abbreviated backswing and a solid swing. When I saw her swing on 18 yesterday it looked horrid compared to the rest and the results showed. Interested to watch the rest of this one for sure.

Anyone know Inbee's swing speed? She looks like she's hardly putting in any effort. If I had never seen her play before, I would tell her to play the forward tees... She's not short, so either her iron lofts are super jacked or her swing is uber efficient.

Good grief! This is like a time warp back to 2014-15. First Amy Yang repeats her 2015 win at Honda, now Michelle Wie on top of the leaderboard with Inbee Park, Paula Creamer and even Morgan Pressel not too far behind, plus the more current Pettersen and Nordqvist pretty close.

 

If last season was exciting, this season looks even better!

Great rounds for Amy and So Yeon. almost gets them in with a shout. Lexi bounced back with a 66 today as well though that only took her to 10 shots back.

 

The -8's might have a shot tomorrow though the winner more likely to come from top 10.

 

I have a feeling Inbee will shrug off today's mediocre round and show everyone who's Boss tomorrow..

 

At least I'll get to watch tomorrows action after my beloved Foxtel deemed that live Women's surfing was more important to put on than the golf.. Sigh..

Watching 2nd round replay yesterday and was impressed to see Michelle Wie just step up and bang a 6 footer into the back of the cup. She's full of confidence. I'm pulling for her to win.

MJ didn't look like she had her swing today. I had her in Rd 1 at the CME and she hits an amazing low drive with lots of run. I see she has changed her driver shaft since. Was the BB in November and looks like the GP now, which is a massive shift.

Another fun round. I think it's hard to predict this one. Inbee showed a little rust today, but is still within striking distance. Lydia looks like she has enough game to put up another 4 or 5 under round. Sung Hyun looks solid. Can she hold it together for another round? Her previous LPGA events indicate a possible fade tomorrow. Ha Na is lurking. Ariya is playing solid.

 

I guess the real unknown is Michelle. Three solid rounds with few blemishes, but can she string together four?

She's done that on occasion in the past. She sets her hip to try to avoid turning them. 'Not sure it's a reliable approach, but it does appear to generate a lot of torque against the turning upper body. Her backswing is also abbreviated, which is not that unusual to see these days. She is swinging with a full followthrough with her driver, which is nice to see.

 

Basically, I see a lot of elements from 2014. She's long enough that if she can find fairways, she can take pressure off her iron game.
