REVIEWS: Fujikura ATMOS Tour Spec Testing. Read what member testers say.

Recommended Posts

So I just thought I would provide an update. I have tried both the Kuro Kage DC 60TX and the Mitsubishi Tensei CK Pro White 60 stiff in my Epic head. These are the shafts that I wanted to try at the beginning of the season, and was planning to use, until I was selected to test the Atmos. I can say that I wouldn't have tried the Atmos, if it hadn't been for this test. Obviously the TX flex in the KK is not apples to apples, but that profile only came in the TX (stiff is a different profile). What surprised me is that the Atmos seemed to have a straighter ball flight consistently when compared to both other shafts. The KK DC and the Tensei both had a draw ball flight that occasionally turned into a hook. The Atmos almost never hooked, unless it was a really bad swing. I have swung/played all 3 shafts multiple times over the past 3 months, and the Atmos Black is the clear best match for my swing of the 3. My son seems to like the KK DC, so he is getting that one and I plan to sell the Tensei White. I have been waiting to write this, as I really don't like it when people say they are in love with a shaft, and it will never leave their bag after 1-2 rounds. I have played this shaft for over 15 rounds and no less than 20 sessions on the range, and it is firmly in the bag for the season. All 3 are great shafts, but the Atmos matches my swing the best. Driver shaft testing is done for the year.

Yep mine is still in the bag and I was an original tester. I have cheated on it a few time. My Atmos came with a Callaway tip for my Epic and I purchased an M1 that came with Hzrdus Black. Both are great shafts but when I go back to the Atmos its easy to see and feel why I liked it so much for my swing in the first place.

I put a new 17 M1 460 head on my ATMOS Blue 8X this weekend and took it out for the first time. It took a few holes to get used to the larger head shape (it looks even larger to me at address than the 16 M2) but once I got it dialed in, it was a huge success. I've had my ATMOS in the bag since it came in, and I don't see it going anywhere.

Thanks for the updates gents, love to hear ATMOS is winning out and staying in your bags. I also feel the same with my black 6x, it goes where i want it and never has a sneaky big miss.

Now that I've had some more time with the ATMOS line I can confidently say I've never been happier with a line of wood/hybrid shafts. All of them, from driver to my hybrid feel fantastic and when I'm not swinging like a jerk, my ball flight is pretty consistent. It's a definite confidence builder when you know what to expect, and that's what I get with the ATMOS shafts. I took a bit of a leap of faith getting the HB Blue 8S in my hybrid sight unseen, but my EX10 3H is a weapon with that shaft. I just had my Black 7S installed in my TEE Beta 4W and I gamed it today for the first time and that combination is nasty as well. Finally, the Black 6S in my 2017 M2 is just smooth and is a joy to hit. I'm very happy I made the switch, and if you're on the fence definitely give ATMOS a try...you won't be disappointed!

We're elated to hear this, thanks for sharing your feedback on ATMOS TS!

Still absolutely loving the Blue 7X in my Sub zero driver, but am dissapointed in the same shaft in my 3 wood, I'm having a hard time with it wayyy over spinning both off the tee and deck. Potentially going to try the black 8X in it to see if that's better

I am really curious in this. I have Blue 7X in a M1 440 head, which is just super low spinning so the Blue works out amazing. I am going to get an M2 tour 3 wood here shortly and can't decide if an 8X Blue or Black would be the ticket.

I just find the blue in my 3 wood to be too spiny, I'm already a high spin player, and unless I catch my sub zero fairway absolutely flush with the Atmos blue 7X, it spins like a top. Probably gonna try the black 8X next

Even with the heavy weight to the front?

I play an 816 alpha 3w with a Blue 7 with the heavy weight to the front and it works pretty damn good in that configuration.

Yep! I had the BBA 816 14 degree last year, played with the weight in the front, and never shoot have gotten rid of if for the sub zero, that was the best 3 wood I've ever owned, play a Tour AD-GP 7X in it, it was money

I've been working hard the past month on my swing and the improvements are very noticeable, not with just how I am playing but with how the shaft is loading and feeling. I finally broke 80 again after nine months of atrocity with a 78 on Monday. (Thank 8.6lb baby Jesus!) I contribute a lot of my improvements to working on the swing but man, the difference between this and my old HZRDUS Black continues to be just night and day. This morning, I really broke a barrier with being able to swing effortlessly and smash the ball. The smoothness of the ATMOS TS Black 6x is so freaking amazing. I really might just end up getting a 3HL with an ATMOS TS 7x Black in it.

I think if you're 105, you can handle the X fine. If not, it might be a little stiff but just make sure homeboy didn't tip it before hand.

I just hope it's not boardy feeling being an X. I can squeeze out about 5-10 more yards out with a stiff and I need yards.

You're fine in the 105 SS, I am same boat and this allows me to swing up to 108 if needs be. Nice kick, no looseness or boardy feeling whatsoever. It ain't a 2x4 so no worries. I usually prefer a Stiff with a softer tip but the ATMOS is just so nice the way its built.

Played every day since last Friday except for just 1.

I think my favorite thing with this shaft is the dispersion. It could partly be b/c I have finally found the right head for me to pair with it, but it is absolute money $$$. Even when I put a crappy swing on it, I still find the ball in a spot that I can play from.

My SS is in the same neighborhood and yours, maybe a touch higher. I hit it a bit today and it has a pretty good feel. Doesn't give you the feel that you really need to take a cut at it to load it. I think that it would be just fine. I installed the trip straight in, no tipping whatsoever.

The Atmos line of shafts and this giveaway are definitely a success from my point of view. Because I was so impressed with the black in my driver, I bought a Atmos Blue 7 stiff for my 3 wood. I just took it out on the range, and initial impression is very good. The Tensei Blue that I have in my 3 wood has been great so far, so it is ridiculous that I am even trying out a different shaft. Golfwrx is ruining me.

I have the swing speed of a mere mortal, 97 I can possibly squeeze out 100 on a great day, but I rarely try. Quick transition, want a flight similar (but not the left miss I seem get when I go after it) to what I have now. Diamana S+ 60 Blue. Suggestions? I initially wanted to try a Hzrdus, but the talk of them being overly stiff has me a little scared. I am headed to Spargo on the 17th, and hopefully will get dialed in. Just curious as to what you all might think. Thanks.

I can only comment on the Atmos Black and Blue. I am playing the Atmos Blue in my 3w and a Diamana S+ in my 5w. Mind you the lofts are different, so not apples to apples, but the Diamana gets up FAST. I would think that the Atmos Red would be what you are looking for to get to a similar ballflight. And I have not fought a left miss with either the Black or the Blue since putting the Atmos shafts in my bag, I would imagine that the Red would be equally as stable.

Check my initial review with LM numbers. I was swinging in that range during the winter and you can see what I was getting with my Black. Great thing about the Atmos is the kick and feel without having dispersion issues. For those of us that prefer to "feel" their shaft load and unload, it is a winner. I have a buddy that swings a good bit harder than I do and he hates the shaft. He doesn't want to feel anything moving in a shaft. He wants rebar. I can't really understand that but he does hit it well and fights a hook as his miss. To each his own.

Any more info on the limited ed. Atmos Folds of Honor shaft? I think I need one of these!

Hey guys, full details coming monday and will be sharing more photos on social in the next few days, but I can tell you it will be the blue launch profile with some options...Glad to hear you guys are excited. The pics don't do them justice. We revamped the decal colors.
