Strange should not be any where near golf commentating. He is boring, often wrong when predicting what the player will do, and is completely out of his element when interviewing. He asked Koepka the same question twice, then kept looking down at notes or something. And his exclusion of Tiger was definitely intentional, IMHO.

Interview was awkward across the board. Seemed like Strange was stumbling over his words quite a bit. Get a real reporter out there to do the interview instead.

I'm surprised Strange didn't ask Brooks what it was like hitting it "nawn mawls" off the tee.

I'm surprised he didn't ask him what it was like hitting that new girlfriend of his last night.

I`ve been thinking these are the criteria for golf commentating. Add in barely restrained self-importance and infantile sense of humor and there`s a place for you up in a booth somewheres on the back 9.

USGA set up the course too easy. Torrey Pines is a very long course, but Rahm finished at 13 under in normal tour conditions this year. However if you set it up under normal US Open conditions (tight fairways, thick rough), guys will struggle to break par. USGA had the thick rough this year at Erin Hills, but the fairways were too wide.

This is nothing new. These guys have been long for years now. USGA either wanted lower scores or really just counted on strong winds all week.

Really enjoyed watching the tournament and Koepka is a very worth champion. Missing only ten greens all week is insane.

My only real take from the whole week is that distance is pretty much out of control. In another five years or so I don't know how many shorter hitters are going to be out there. I mean this course is massive and guys were still hitting short irons into every hole and reaching all the par 5's in two sometimes not even using driver off the tee.

The shorter hitters will still be out there, but they will be longer than they are now. The long hitters will still be the longest. The courses can do whatever. Nothing about this tournament was bad for golf.

I know a lot of people like to see the Pros struggle at the US Open... I do too...

-16 is not what we want to see, but it doesn't diminish Koepka's win. The greatest players outside of Phil showed up and most didn't make the cut. He won in dominating fashion today... period!

He's your US Champion until Shinnecock Hills next year...

The great players faded because the course played a putting contest crapshoot. Spin the roulette wheel and here's your US Open winner.

Yeah, felt that way to me too. 500+ yard par 4's and everyone was hitting short irons into them. You gotta figure the next wave of players will be even longer, which is scary to think about.

If it's a putting contest then why did the best ball striker win this week?

Regardless of anything else, that dude can flat out pure some iron shots. I enjoy the pro tracer.

I have been a fan, but even more so after the post round interview in the media center. I hope to see him win more.

I really don't think it's scary. They are the best, and we aren't them.

Brooks Koepka was the best player this week no matter the course.

3rd in strokes gained off the tee

1st in strokes gained approaching the green

3rd in strokes gained putting

1st in strokes gained total

Is it mathematically possible to win a golf tournament and not lead the field in total strokes gained? I'm being serious, I have a hazy at best understanding of the whole strokes gained thing.

Glove: ML
Tees: 2 3/4
Towel: white
Repair tool: metal
Ball Marker: largest poker chip in the world
Iron headcovers: wait, what?

The feedback system is annoying
