As far as the golf coach goes, yeah, I think PixlPutterman overstepped his bounds a bit there as I would've left it up to the OP.....BUT.....speaking as someone who coaches one of the local high school golf teams, I can pretty much guarantee you that the coach already knows who the good kids are and who the little sh!ts are. Parents on the other hand tend to wear the rose colored glasses--whether it's about Little Johnny's criminal activity or Little Johnny's total inability to break 45.

You seem to have a problem minding your own business. I am speaking of getting scammed, and hopefully not letting the person off the hook...as you have no clue what they have going on, as they seek out the next vulnerable person to be scammed

Some people post here from the place of trying to get themselves made whole. Some post here just to vent as therapy. Some post here to warn the field. Some post for all of it. None of this is wrong, but I have more respect for those who place others' interests equal (or nearly equal) to their own, and start these threads not only for their own satisfaction, but for other people's protection as well. It takes a lot more effort to "protect the field" than it does to just b*tch and hope.

I’m all for a decent witch hunt and all but I personally think if the info is 100% legit the golf coach shouldn’t have been contacted yet. The parents yes but the golf coach no, it involves someone who has no say whatsoever and can’t really get involved because it boils down to trust and he said/she said. I know some people won’t agree but I just don’t think it’s appropriate until you at least try to contact his parents.
