Failed BST Transaction

I just wanted to apologize. I wronged Jon and should have sent his clubs back. I agreed to trade my Miura's for his callaway prototypes and didn't come through with my side of the deal. I texted him separately and am currently figuring out how to right the transaction. I'm sorry.

I'll give you credit, it takes some balls to come here, admit your mistake, and eat some crow. Now follow through and get those clubs back in the condition you received them and at least a valuable lesson will have been learned here.

Good on you for publicly admitting your wrong doing. At some point you will learn nobody likes a thief. Hopefully this is a lesson learned, and something you will remember down the road when a thought like this crosses your mind again. I doubt your the type of kid who could handle a stint in jail.

Just a quick update here folks.....

1.) We can put all NC/Miura/Baby Blade conspiracy theories to rest.........lol.

2.) The young man I entered into the deal reached out to me about an hour ago. I won't go into the specifics right now but he has acknowledged that he has wronged me. I have offered him two solutions to rectify the situation and I have given him 24 hours to do so. Stay tuned......

Conspiracy theories? Or doing whatever it takes to NOT get to a legal issue. Wouldnt you do the same to avoid jail? This is the reason it will continue. Give any easy out, of course he's gonna take it. Do you think he wasn't watching this thread the whole time? Lots of scammers, counterfeiters, "bad trades" (twice in a week?) not pressing charges or reporting this as something went wrong apparently for a month, and clearly admitted; your words: he "wronged you". Happy for you, but wouldn't be enough for me, will happen to someone else...SMH

***Also hope you have something in legally bound stating he will pay for any repairs or damage done to your club heads or shafts while disassembling and reassembling. *** really hope returned to you in the condition you sent out.

I agree. No 24 hour grace period. I would still contact local law enforcement. He scammed you with malice aforethought. This took some planning on his part. All the time you exchanged emails/texts, or whatever, he knew he was going to scam you. He even blocked you from contacting him.

This kid should get NO pass. NO freebie. The hammer needs to fall.

That would be true if he did this "unsolicited", but that was not the case. He needs to be held accountable for his actions. "I'm sorry" doesn't cut it.

I'm all for a decent witch hunt and all but I personally think if the info is 100% legit the golf coach shouldn't have been contacted yet. The parents yes but the golf coach no, it involves someone who has no say whatsoever and can't really get involved because it boils down to trust and he said/she said. I know some people won't agree but I just don't think it's appropriate until you at least try to contact his parents.

Agreed. The guy whose business it is, decided to wait to do that as a possible "later action",....but someone else butted their nose into the situation. Not a good look

And why did this happen? Were you trying to steal his clubs? Did you only now register and post because your golf coach was contacted?

While an apology was due, IMO, it’s not enough.

In the real world, you can’t just get caught stealing and have it all go away because you apologize.

While I see that the guy has issued an apology, I still would like to know what went on in his head during the whole transaction. An apology is just that...an apology and carries no value especially over the internet. An action took place because the OP was able to find information and I doubt an apology would have taken place if the OP had taken no action.

Agreed. Is it, “I’m sorry.”, or, “I’m sorry I got caught.”?

What a bunch of BS.... So the kid that commits the crime and apologizes cause he got caught gets a pat on the back for being a stand up guy and the guy who reached out to apply pressure to help the situation gets chastised (I do realize Pixl, you did pat him on the back as well but I have no issue with you contacting the coach).... Personally, if this type of thing happened to me, I would be thanking anyone who was willing to help on my behalf. These types of people don't get any kind of respect IMO. There is no "give him time to make it right" when he obviously intentionally was trying to dodge the OP and lied to him about tracking #s... c'mon guys.

I don't think Q will delight us with the scenario that would make him look any better than he already does. He's wrong , hopefully he truly knows it and isn't just saying what the community wants to hear. With both hands caught in the cookie jar , he shouldn't get off so easy with just an I'm sorry. This actually is the real world and people go to jail everyday for stealing. Maybe OP can shed some light , but seems as if something is messed up with the his Callaway's and instead of manning up , Q went silent because he didn't want damaged clubs anymore but couldn't ship them back like that either.

We all have opinions, doesnt make any difference to me if I get gruff for what I did. I have been screwed my fare share of times to.

The kid deserves credit for making it right and publicly admitting it. Not in any way implying he deserves a lot of credit, and I surely wont deal with him for a long time, if ever.

I remember doing dumb stuff as a teenager, nothing like this, but I do also remember learning a lot of lessons the hard way too.

I applied pressure because I had the resources to do so instead of barking around ideas on what the OP "should" do.

I think its a bit different considering the cost of the goods involved, this wasnt some $20 shirt.

If the OP is upset I did what I did, then I apologize, but he got his stuff back so I if I played a sliver of a part in that happening, Ill take the slack for what I did with the outcome that came from it.

If I played no part well then so be that as well.

Could be quite a few reasons. I say you used a cheat code that keeps the counter at zero even though you have hundreds of transactions.

Although what you did probably shouldn't have taken place, you aren't the problem with this situation , that's on the kid. You may have jumped the gun getting involved , and I agree , but lets all agree to back to the main issue at hand....

If we don't hold people accountable for the actions they take , then what do they learn the next time they think about doing something such as this or maybe even worse.... nothing.

What type of man does it take to begin a scam, block the seller/trader from contact, and try to avoid all responsibility for his actions? And, only tries to be contrite when he is caught???

The Ebay account was opened Jan 2006 , which would put the accused of being 4 or 5 years old at the time.. I know kids are more into web activity at a young age , but buying and selling on Ebay before preschool is impressive...fishy
