Thats the Fond worthy of an 18th green. How much better and spectacular holes 1, 9, 17 and 18 could be. Was ok before the in/out switch. Now that part of the course is the most lukewarm. Only advantage is probably that the CEO’s can make their last approach shanks without anyone seeing. Nice to sneak in quietly on the last green.

That’s a blast from the past. My main memory of him however is in the final round of The Open in 99 trying to get the most ridiculous drop on the 2nd hole.

I never would have guessed that was Jones - had no idea that he got that big through the middle after he stopped really playing competitively (after 1930).
