Oh for the days when men were men and still bagged proper blade 2-irons, and you'd check your swing in the mirror every evening to see how similar it was to the daddy of them all, Adam Scott's.

 

Nowadays, I get nervous looking down at a proper blade 4-iron, and my swing looks more like Terry Scott's.

Such a pure swing.  IIRC Nicklaus said something like if you gave Weiskopf Nicklaus's brain he'd have won twice what Nicklaus won.

i posted his swing sequence at the height of his power back in December…

his swing was glorious…no other word to describe it

 

Weiskopf’s swing sequence, positions and tempo were a symphony 

and even Nicklaus, Miller and Trevino would stop to watch him hit a few on the range…

“I definitely was over par for my career,” Weiskopf told Golf Digest colleague John Huggan in 2010. “Even par would have been three majors and twice as many regular tour wins. I have to admit that. I’ve always been honest with myself.”

Weiskopf replied with one of the greatest quips in golf broadcasting history, saying, “If I knew the way he thought, I would have won this tournament.”
