Golf Channel and the union ended their dispute, but I believe this is CBS’s crew all week.

Wondering this myself, anyone?

I'm thinking the only way to see the early part of his round is PGA Tour Live. TW along with Phil and Rickie will be the part of the featured group coverage today and tomorrow. It's not a bad deal, I spent $40 on it last year and received $40.00 in "deal time" tee times from a website that I'm not sure I can post here.

Very interesting. Don't know if I've seen someone wearing a hoodie during a PGA Tour event before. Sweaters? Sure. Jackets? Yeah. But what appears to be a common cotton hoodie?! Looks so casual.

I like it! push the limits. Why not!? The look looks classy and not overstated. Not bad at all. Also sidebar. Morgan Hoffman's story is incredible. Definitely has a fan in me.

That shot of Rose's lie in the fairway got me thinking...

That fairway is absolutely spotless. Just carpet out there. Being an early group on day 1...is it important to go super low early in the tournament? Because by the time Sunday comes around, the fairway is nowhere near as perfect as Thursday morning. There are divots everywhere. The odds of your ball landing in a divot is probably pretty high. So is it best to go super low Thursday & Friday, so if you do get unlucky and land in a divot you still have a little buffer?

Is your question:

"Do you want to shoot your best possible score Thursday & Friday, so your lead on the weekend is larger?"

Basically, yeah.

I know you wanna shoot as low as you can every day, but I feel like it'd be more difficult to go low on Saturday & Sunday after the course has seen so much usage. Ball marks on greens, divots in fairways, rough being stomped down from spectators, etc.

Nope. Golf Central Pregame at 2 PM Eastern, Tiger at 3. Golf Central should only miss the first hole.

So how worth it is the pga tour live subscription if you've got a cable/hulu live/whatever else that gives you golf channel already?

The Golf Central Pregame is ridiculous. Just so the coverage. I don't need to listen to the talking heads, I would rather watch golf.

Can you imagine doing a football pregame show in the middle of the first quarter? lol

I don’t mind it. TV contracts are contracts and you have to stick to them unfortunately.

I have to agree that it's annoying to show the pregame while the actual tournament is happening. If it's truly BEFORE the tournament, fine, otherwise i'd rather just keep watching the LPGA all the way up until they can actually show golf. Watching the talking heads while knowing that actual golf is happening is kind of an annoyance.

A little surprised P. Reed didn't try to coordinate outfits with Tiger for today's round.

Over here we have seen nothing but Tiger for the last 10 minutes. On the putting green, his walk to the tee, his wait on the tee and his tee shot. We are currently watching him walk up the first fairway..............fabulous.

Already tired of it lol. Gonna be a long season if he doesn't play well.
