I'd have to go with Statesboro Blues -- the live, 1971 recording. Duane's sliding with that pill bottle simultaneously gives me the chills and makes me want to dance. So good.

Either one of the guitar solos from "Ball and Biscuit" by White Stripes or "Cherub Rock" by Smashing Pumpkins. The first 30 seconds of "Blockbuster Night, Pt 1" by Run the Jewels would be pretty bad-a** as well.

 

Also, I LOVE this idea. I know some folks will hate it, but I think it's a lot of fun. Gives the guys a chance to show off a bit of personality. Now if we can just get the cattle prods into the crowd to take care of the "Baba-booey!" folks out there.....

Its hard for me because i like so many different kinds of music....it would depend on the day

 

Rock: Orion by Metallica (one of the best instrumentals ever and a very solid, winding opening)

Punk/Techno: Roadgame by Kavinsky (another winding beat, almost impossible to listen to this and not be pumped)

Hilarity: Goodbye Horses (honestly why doesn't anyone use this song? Buffalo Bill make it work baby!)

 

But for best overall .....i guess i'd probably go with "new dawn fades" by Moby. Which happens to be my current ring tone
