Brooks Koepka - 2600 spin rate using a Taylormade driver. And out drove DJ doing it. I didnt think this was possible. I thought Titleist drivers were the devil of spin producers!

haha I thought the exact same thing, was shocked how short their drives were there but the wind must be more than you think.

I may have missed it... Do we know what the technology is in this driver? They got rid of the speed slot so more than likely have put some type of "jailbreak" type of technology in there I'm sure.

Anyone know?

Apparently the new driver features what will be know as "get out of jail free" technology. You'll also be eligible to collect $200 as you pass and go through the turn at your clubhouse.

welp that tour testing is done no winner of US open with a TS2 or TS3 in play . Test failed and don't tell me about the drive JT hit 90% of players were hitting drives that far on that hole. SO Titleist just send me one so you can get some real data . Can't wait to here about the tech in these drivers!!! There are a lot of great drivers out right now and with these dropping soon I'm super happy !!

If you watched that Tournament and think that driver played a huge roll in who played well and who didn't you are dead wrong. It was all about the approach shot and where you left the ball on those greens.

The top 3 guys finished 2-4 in greens in regulation for the week. HaoTong Li hit the most greens but was 60th in putting.

Koepka was T55th in fairways hit.

I'm well aware of the importance of approaches (and putting) at the tournament. Just providing the stats, you can tweek them as you'd like.

It wouldn't be near as fun to let the facts get in the way of a ridiculous argument.

I'm not arguing the course, what was hit etc, if you want to spend hours breaking down fairway accuracy and distance by these players only on the holes they hit drivers, be my guest...

I do find it ironic though that neither of you even game a Titleist driver.

We can save our time and just wait for some trackman results to appear in the coming months.

First off, 12 posts... seriously. You're like a baby too good for diapers.

Secondly, if golfwrx finds is important enough to list whose switched to the new drivers for the US Open, it seems like a useful tidbit to know how to performed in the tournament. How many people buy new clubs because a pro has success with them... If someone in that list had won, the world would be blowing up with excitement about the release of the new driver.

Let me put it this way and I will leave it go from here. For every Koepka, DJ or Fleetwood there was that played well (exceptionally well in their cases) there was a Tiger, Rory or Jason Day that missed the cut. Just using TM as an example.

I won't argue that, nor the fact that most are paid to use those clubs.

Driver didn't win or lose the US Open for anyone so it's kind of pointless to even look at. You would have a better chance persuading someone of a drivers performance with strokes gained off the tee statistics anyway.

I have learned to not pass judgment on clubs based on looks and seeing them on Tour. I am not a fan of Titleist: 975J, 983K, and 910D2 being exceptions. I do not think these TS Drivers look particularly glamorous, more like a DSG special... my AB TP/ M2, Rogue, and Epic look much better (at this time). JT could have hit a Bazooka driver 422YDs on that hole...lol.

My point is I like TM Woods much better then Titleist, and these TS Drivers don't impress me on looks alone, but I'll allow their performance to dictate my overall review.
