My TS2 just arrived today, hit my 909D3 for the last time.

909D3 10.5* with UST ProForce Tour Green Stiff: 162 Ball Speed / 13.6 Launch / 3428 Spin / 41 Peek / 45 Decent / 253 Carry / 274 Total

TS2 9.5 with EvenFlow T1100 White 65X, A1: 166.5 Ball Speed / 11.5 Launch / 2950 Spin/ 36 Peek / 41 Decent / 274 Carry / 295 Total

Recommitting myself to playing golf again, next up is to update my irons, thinking MP-18 SC/MB Combo and then fine tune my driver with a upgrade shift.

TS2 9.5 with Evenflow White 65X is a great great setup. I, personally, used a 75X when testing / borrowing one of the reps while playing in Palm Springs and loved it.

TS3 driver & TS2 fairway arrived yesterday. Day off work tomorrow, looking forward to give them a whirl. The 915s are boxed up and on eBay.

How did they go?

Really good.

My 915D2 was about 15 yards longer than my mate who has a TM M2. When we both flushed one, I’d say my TS3 is now 25 yards longer than him.

What I really liked was my bad ones were level with him where as before I would be behind.

TS2 fairway only hit it twice (both of the tee), both good ones. Never been the best Fw player, but they felt good. Really happy with the Tensei shafts in both.

Question for players coming from 917 to TS Drivers: Are you all going loft for loft? Or did you go up in loft in the TS Drivers?

Currently playing a 917D2 8.5 was planning on TS2 8.5.

:drinks:

Can't speak to 917>TS but the TS do not launch low. My TS3 is 8.5 and the launch is considerably higher than my F8+ at 8*. The TS3 is stupid low spin though so i would error on the side of higher launch or you may have problems with it dropping out of air. I was having some low spin issues at first but adding an extra 5gram weight in the weight port helped quite a bit. The launch is perfect now.

Thanks, good to know! I was fit into a 10.5 TS3 head recently, thought it was interesting as I’ve typically used lower launching drivers in the past.

Thanks for the reply... That is music to my ears, the 917 D2 8.2 can get spinny so a reduction in spin will be welcomed. Did you test TS2 compared to TS3?

I went from 9.5 in the 917D2 to 8.5 in the TS3. I had initially been testing with a 9.5 TS3 but it was just a little floaty at times.

I did not. I tested TS3 against G400lst, m3, and srixon 785. I loved it enough i paid full retail on the spot. I’ve never bought a driver that way before. It’s really really good.

I had the epic sub zero then back to my 910 before I settled on the 8.5 deg TS3.

Epic was long, 910 was a fairway finder, TS3 is both!

Scratch, I had the same experience as Matty. Fully expected to go to TS2 from 917 D2 9.5. Ended up fitted into a 8.5 TS3 to get closer to optimal spin. You should try to hit both heads before pulling the trigger if you can.

can anyone provide insight that went from a Rogue SZ or Epic SZ to TS3? what loft did you get?

I went from 9* epic SZ to 9.5 TS3. My launch increased about 2.5* and spin increased about 500 rpm.

Was the heavy weight in the back of your SZ? Same shaft in both?

Thanks!

Heavy weight was in back. Had Rogue max 75x in SZ and evenflow 65x in TS3.

I played Saturday and had another awesome driving day. I hit 11/13 fairways with the TS3 and here are the distances on each hole where I used the driver (as measured by my Golf Shot Plus app:

276 yards

280 yards

293 yards

303 yards

The temperature was only 48 degrees and there was absolutely no wind.

I was fitted by a Titleist rep on trackman for the TS3 10.5* with Speeder 757 EVO Tour Spec X-flex (45") and it was a killer combo but I felt like I needed to swing at 100% or close to it to really get the best out of it, so I took advantage of the PGA Superstore 90 day exchange policy. Luckily, their "Tour Van" fitter helped me out free of charge and I was able to hit some combos on the GC Quad. Final gamer is a TS2 10.5* with Speeder 661 EVO Tour Spec x-flex (45") and it is absolutely perfect for my swing. I feel like I can swing it at 70, 80, 90 or 100% and get great and consistent results. My swing speed averages 110 and I have a quick transition and an aggressive move, just for reference. Carry distances are normally in the 270s-280s range with a nice piercing trajectory. Love it.

Do you guys think the Speeder 661 Evo TS in Stiff (no upcharge from Titleist it seems) is suitable for someone with 97-101 swing speed ? Medium transition. i would demo it, but its such an old shaft, no one has it. just really curious.

Its either the 661 TS Stiff or the Tensei 55 X-Stiff at this point. The Smoke and EV white feels slightly boardy to me. i like something with a little snap.

I would think it would fit your SS perfectly, the only question for how you will get along with it is how you load the shaft. When you say "medium transition" do you feel a slight pause at the top/do you let your hands "drop into the slot" feeling? If you are it could still work well for you but there may be other options that might give you more kick through the ball with that type of swing. I will say that it does have a bit more snap to it than the Smoke IMO but not as much as something like the Even Flow Blue that comes stock in the Rogue. There really are a ton of no-upcharge options for the TS2/TS3 so I can't imagine you not finding something just right.

I would say i have a slight pause, but rotate pretty aggressively. On the Titleist shaft chart, it doesnt seem like a "TS - tour spec" shaft, since it sits in the middle along with other mid/mid shafts like the Blueboards, V2's and even the Tensei AV55(which i like). I just like the idea of a 661 shaft since its very popular back in the day, and im looking for something "new". . But the "TS" name scares me a little because im not sure if i can handle the profile.

I currently play the Matrix 6Q3 which is also a mid/mid shaft, just looking to make a change to see where it goes.

I went from 917D2 into TS3 and agree with QuigleyDU above. The information I had read online and the information I was given by my fitter was that the TS3 should be just as forgiving as the 917D2 but I found that there was little more. Out on the course when I was testing with both of them, I put some pretty woeful swings on them and one hole in particular at my home course, it was pretty much identical swings. The TS3 held the fairway, the 917D2 didn't. I know that sounds stupid and it may just be coincidence but to my mind it made it up that the TS3 was the way to go.

I love the look of the TS3 9.5. 3 weeks ago I just picked up the TS3 15 Deg. 3 wood with Tensai shaft and love it ! Played 4 rounds the 1st week of Nov in Naples and really hit it great. I have a TM Euros TP that I'm absolutely sick of , might get the TS3 in the spring with the Tensia stiff shaft.

For you guys that was fit into Smoke 70 6.5 into your TS 3-wood, what swing speed did you have?

I'm 103Mph with my current 917F3 @42.5" and there is an amazing Black Friday offer for TS Fairway with Smoke 70 6.0 and 6.5, but no opportunity to test first. Tempted to buy and trial by error :-)
