reminds me of an Adams dhy pro combined with a ping crossover combined with the old udi

 

I don’t see good players using it as a driving iron due to it looks chunky at address to me. Being I am not a good player and can’t hit the 3 iron i have off the tee it probably would suit me

This is why the P790’s have been discontinued. The new UDIs are supposed to feature an adjustable sleeve.

 

I would say that the P790 UDI’s were NOT discontinued, just ran their course and sold out of their PLANNED inventory (~5k worldwide). I was told they were going to be a limited release due to the popularity of it from the beginning. It was NEVER going to be a full blown club with a long life cycle because this club (GAPR) being released was already in the works.

^ I was just going to post this as well.

He hit a few shots with it, then switched back to his normal Rsi TP.

But Rsi now has a pro orange in it as well, was previously a pro white I'm pretty sure

If it performs then people will bag it but I'm not sold on the design or the name to be quite honest. It's a shame they didn't stick with the P series design language as those are some very aesthetically pleasing clubs. I definitely dig the inclusion of the adjustable hosel though, that's the biggest bonus to me, but I'll also stick with my P790 moving forward.

I remember when the first P790 UDI pics surfaced and how people blasted it because of its looks. Kind of the same thing with the GAPR. Im looking forward to the adjustable version of this club and testing it out against my P790 UDI.
