What are the main differences between the TS and regular shafts?

Tighter tolerances

Yes and actual physical differences. 40 Ton Carbon weave vs 30 Ton, and TS has HIT (High-Inertia-Tip) tech (use of different materials to achieve an optimum energy return reducing deflection in the tip area.)

Interesting considering the Ventus features 70 Ton Carbon weave...43% more tonnage than the TS line...

I should have a little time to get to my local golf shop tomorrow to swing the new woods after work. I'll snag a few photos and try to give some kind of review tomorrow night.

Just picked up a ST190 on e bay. Some great deals on these, great price for those that like to buy and try. Since it is pretty inexpensive (relatively) will probably pick up a cool new shaft.

Same shaft adapter works from last year's drivers, correct? Will likely go Venuts, TZ5 or my trusty Tensei Pro White.

Different adapter set up in ST series. It may physically screw in but you may be confused on how to adjust it.

For what it's worth, I asked Mizuno about the adapters and weights for the G and this was the response:

"Thank you for contacting Mizuno USA. Yes and yes... our adapters can be ordered by placing a custom order through any of our authorized retailers (the same process you went through to pre-order the ST190G driver). We will have warranty replacement / additional weights available free of charge with request by email (like this one), phone or live chat with our consumer support team. They will just be the exact same weights as what comes in the driver. Unfortunately we do not have extras in our hands yet but should within the next couple weeks I would think. Let me know if you have any further questions. Hope you have a nice day!"

Finally had a chance to hit the 190G tonight after work. Hit it in 7* setting, weights forward with Atmos TS black 6x. Solid piercing ball flight. Unfortunately that wasnt the only thing that was "piercing". I'm not sure if it was due to the 43* temperatures with range rocks, but the sound was deafening compared to my Titleist setup. I will definitely need some time with this club to dial it in to my liking and I can almost guarantee that some hot melt will be a necessity for me to quiet this thing down some.

I'm hoping it was a case of the range rocks and cold temperatures. I'm also unsure of the Atmos shaft for me. It was the best option out of the stock shaft options, but I think there are better options out there for me. The Tensei Pro Orange 70Tx I've got coming and the A'hina Ion 60x will all have to battle it out.

I was able to hit the ST190 9.5 today with Atmos TS Black 6X shaft. I was at the PGASS so I'm not sure how accurate their launch monitors are. I've always wondered if they account for the crappy balls. Anyhow, on average, I had ball speeds in the 140s. That seems low to me, but I don't have anything to compare it to. My launch was a struggle and averaged 8-11 degrees. My backspin was also a struggle at times ranging from 1500-2200 rpm. Would adjusting the loft help both of those numbers enough, or do I need to look for a different shaft? I really probably need a TS Blue shaft, but it's not offered unless I'm willing to shell out more cash.

I didn't get to change the settings because the guys at the store weren't too interested in helping me. I don't understand why they can't just leave the club tool for me to do as I please.

I always bring one with me incases they are not available. the PGASS near me never has them locked away.

The numbers aren't that far off, I would have just lofted up to the 10.5 if the shaft felt good and the dispersion was what you wanted.

Bought the 190g

1 round in and I love it . Picked up ball speed and also gives low spin even at higher loft . I would say 10-12 yards extra on my previous driver which was a good fit

Looks and sounds great too

I'm trying to decide between the 190 and the 190G. Isn't there some adjustability with the regular version? My gut tells me regular for forgiveness, but my heart tells me weights. :)

You can adjust the hosel on both. To my eye, side by side, they look a tiny bit different at address with the G being more symmetrical and the regular a bit of a teardrop that bulges toward the rear toe. This was with the plastic on so could have been light reflections playing tricks on me.I have read that the G sounds a bit louder and the regular a bit more muted.

Probably has been brought up more than once - the information is out there: https://golf.mizunoeurope.com/golf-clubs/st-series/st190-drivers/

There is adjustability in terms of putting a heavier or lighter weight in the back of the 190, but there is no moving around the weights positionally like the 190G. That said, I much preferred the regular ST190.

I have the ST180 HL and I've enjoyed the driver and got use to the horrible sound I guess. I recently got the new Fujikura ventus shaft in it and seem to have my spin numbers up higher than I'd like. It really has me itching to try out the new drivers to get a better match up and hopefully bring my spin rate back down. ST190 has been sounding great from what I've heard/seen in videos.

Here's the deal: I haven't played Mizuno in probably 15 years. I'm back to knowing almost zippy about them and am looking at playing these and I'm torn, what to play this year.

I'm fairly certain I want to play the regular Hot Metals, S18 Wedges, FLI-Hi irons (assuming I can find a couple) and CLK hybrids. I'm just looking for the most forgiving bag I can build.

I want a refreshed MP18 MMC line. Smidge less offset, smidge thinner topline, still utilize tungsten and titanium in the head and keep the slightly stronger lofts to bag 4-P (22-46 lofts). And if they offered it in the black ion finish like their S-18 wedge: I’d pry have to have a backup set to hang on the wall.
