PHOTOS: Accra TZ5 & TZ6 Shafts

I thought that I was going to love my TZ6, but just haven’t gotten along with it. Can see where it fits, but just not the best for me. Back to the Tensei for me. If anyone is interested in a TZ6 with a TM tip let me know

These seem to be quieting in terms of presence on tour...Day back to XT....Champ I believe is back to Fuji. Anyone else gaming it? (Yes I know Tour use isn’t everything. Just observing)

How did it measure up?

I have a Fujikura Evo Speeder V 661x in a 10.5º Epic SZ and I just got the TZ6 65 M5 today. Going to be doing some testing!

In one word, smooth. I’ve been gaming a TS3 with an Atmos Black 7x so far this year and last year with a 917 D2. Tired Evenflow white, Ventus and AD-IZ but nothing was as smooth as the TZ6. Paint is understated with the rainbow flake, in the sunlight it’s a sight to behold. Accra has a winner with their new lineup.

Initial testing: it is definitely stiffer in the butt end under the grip. So far so good. It does launch a bit lower than the Fuji Evo V. I need to put in some more time on the range and then get onto a Trackman or GC2.

I’ve installed the tz5 95 m5 in a gapr low and really like it. Can work it both ways, up and down no problems. Less demanding than than the Tensei Pro white 90tx. Tensei was tipped 1” vs 1/2” tz5. I wouldn’t be afraid at all to put a tz5 in a fairway.

Any extended thoughts now that the season is full steam ahead? Is the TZ5 significantly lower launch than TZ6? Would the TZ6 for into the AD DI, AD TP, Blueboard type launch window? Would the TZ5 kind of match the whiteboard launch?

 

Does the TZ6 feel a lot looser than the TZ5? Looking for a different profile than the Pro Orange I have now. Something more active with a bit more launch. I also have a HZRDUS Smoke Green coming in from a Twitter contest to get the really low launch and spin end of the spectrum.

I have both the TZ6 and TZ5 in 65 M5. Both are great feeling shafts. Neither is close to the feel of the Pro Orange. Both launch higher for me. TZ6 has a high neutral flight with a linear load where the TZ5 seems to be a kind of an anti-left and lower/mid launching with a traditional feeling load (but in no means is it a low launch shaft as it still launches higher than my Pro White). TZ6 feels better in my opinion, super smooth for such a low torque shaft and I would definitely game it if I could get the launch down a bit.

TZ6 is similar to something like the graphite design TP/ or Pro Blue in my opinion. I may and try and pick up a 75 M5 to try in my 3 wood.

Are people still having success with these shafts? There was a lot of hype initially, but there hasn’t been a post in almost two months.

I am still loving my TZ6. I tried the TZ5 but as of today my TZ6 is still the shaft for me. They are both awesome shafts though

Have a TZ5 coming for the 400Max

 

Not sure at 115 with a smooth transition if I should go tipped 1/2” or leave it untipped

TZ6 M5 is a great shaft but just could not beat my go to Tensei. I will Be posting my TZ6 in BST soon.

Switched my TZ5 M4 into a PING G410 Plus head and it is a killer combo. Much better for me than the Ping Tour 65x which was too stiff for me. Great feel and dispersion. Stout and heavy feel but smooth. I will admit that I think there's a shaft head combo out there that I can probably swing faster, but this thing is a fairway finder and covers up a lot of my flaws.

65 gram TZ5 M4 untipped. Good compliment to the Tensei pro white 70tx and 90tx in my fairway and hybrid. I play both of those untipped with the heaviest possible Titleist weight cartridges so they are playing soft.

Last fitting driver was 105-108, BS 155-157.

I just did the Mizuno Optimizer and my 6 iron SS with that was 87.6

Anyone have a TZ5 M5 65 or 75 they’re looking to offload that is untipped and at least 44.5” long, or tipped 1/2” with a Ping G400 Adapter

Anybody demo or game the these in hybrid or driving iron? Have a recoil proto 110f5 and now an aldila by you 100x that I've got for my gapr, but I'm thinking I might still want a touch less weight.

I have the TZ6 85 M5 in my hybrid and it’s fantastic. Mid flight and low spin and feels fantastic.
