Well Warrick, to be honest a blend of both would suit me just fine. A smart brushed satin face to help with the glare, coupled with a nice shiny chrome back for showing the beauties off. ?

As the MP-20 HMB is 'apparently' the official replacement for the MP-H5, I would believe the set-up would be fairly close.

So does the HMB hollow blade thing replace the Fli-hi as a long iron replacement?

 

Is there an option for the full set MB players?

 

And we haven’t seen a traditional players cb yet?

 

There some big gaps in the lineup based on what’s been leaked so far. Either we don’t have the full picture yet, or the new releases will complement but not totally replace the existing line up.

 

Can’t wait till tomorrow! Need a huge info dump that lays it all out there in one piece!

From what I can gather the HMB (SEL for lefties) are a combination of both.

Just my opinion, but from first impression I do feel the T20 is the best looking/designed ‘Teardrop’ wedge from Mizuno since the T11.

It's very hard for me to imagine a Mizuno MP release with no full set of traditional forged MB's and no set of traditional forged players CB. There has to be some missing models...

 

I'm an MMC player myself. My hope is that they take the ridiculous tech of the MMC and move it back into a smaller profile, less offset, traditional loft package. Basically move it back in the direction of the MP 59 or MP 15. Something that sits right in in between the Titleist CB and AP2 but closer to the CB.

These don't seem to be a H5 replacement but possibly something very different and more contemporary. The H5 always struck me as a "game improvement" iron. What the MP 20 HMB looks like is a Mizuno version of a TMB / P790 or a PXG. Something with a lot of tech but that can appeal to the blade lovers in all of us. i love the idea of a progressive set - from hollow cavity in long irons to half hollow / solid in the scoring clubs. Very cool.

 

Also agree with others who have expressed hope this is a next gen version of MP5 / MP15.

Many people found the MP18 blade to be just as easy to bit as the SC. Maybe this is part of the reason it got removed from the line up. Plus, the 919T can fill the void.

I agree with you. I play MP59s right now and love them, but I'm due for another fitting and new set within the next year. I have a feeling we will see the complete lineup tomorrow with some additional models and some good news. I'm also using a T4 wedge still and will definitely be checking out these new ones.
