New Mizuno irons coming - Tour Proto Pics

Man, that blade is sleek, but the new MMC makes me even more content with my MP18 MMCs.

Yeah, on my phone, and my vision isn’t perfect, looking closer, I was wrong as usual

MP18 MMC's are pretty ugly, but I can actually look at them without throwing up. MP20 MMC looks like something Fisher Price would have put out for 4 year olds.

I'm so confused. Though if HMB is indeed hot metal blade...... just take my money.

Curious the specs and details on the wedge. Looks like they took the s18 topline/top part of the wedge and kept the T7 otherwise.

I can halfway confirm what has been posted. There is an MP-20 MMC that honestly doesn't have that garish back plug. It is there of course, but not nearly as prominent or jagged (I have seen finished photos and some of the guys from my shop have seen finished demos). The Hot Metal Blade is in fact a real thing, and apparently it is amazing looking. It is a blended hollow-long iron mixed into a set of fully forged short irons...remember the MPH4/5? Well you now have an official replacement for those. The SEL might just be a moniker for a left-handed specific model as it does not appear to be much different from the standard MP-20 blade, and it is interesting no RH pics have surfaced for SEL. Miura and a rumoured New Level iron have also done with a specific lefty-only option, as has Titleist in the past with the 731PM.

EDIT: I guess I should just add that the irons have a copper underlay to improve feel (like the MD3 wedges had). Further, they have confirmed a few new shafts are being added to the matrix, KBS $-Taper being one of them. My rep was tight lipped about the rest but the Project X Catalyst is for sure not being included. I am wondering if SteelFiber is going to be added or perhaps an expanded Recoil lineup?

This is what I was hoping for. I remember seeing a picture of the MP-18 MMC without the brass colored plate over the weighting on the back and it looked similar, so hoping that it just looks clean. I'm sure they've got it figured out.

That said, as a mid-cap MMC player I'm now wondering if the HMB might be an option.... Was on the fence between MMC and H5 before, and this sounds really interesting.

Just thought of this. The S18 were Mizuno's first go at the whole CG placement like Vokey has? So T7 but with CG "enhancements"? I wonder if it is tweaked more and maybe different styles?

Wait until the marketing pics come out, as opposed to the conforming list photos. They're always stunning in person when we're talking Mizzy's

I really look forward to seeing these new MP-20 lines in person. I had been looking at purchasing a blended set of JPX919 Hot Metal PRO long irons, JPX919 FORGED mid irons & JPX919 TOUR short irons, together with Titleist Vokey SM7 wedges.

After playing nothing but Mizuno irons & wedges since January 1988, I thought I would now be jumping ship with my wedges, but alas I think I may just have been saved from such a ridiculous idea............loving the look of the T20 wedges.

HUGE CONGRATULATIONS TO THE MIZUNO DESIGNERS..........Titleist take note!

The HMB irons sound a lot like these.
