Have my 0211 fitting this Sat in Scottsdale. I will be taking advantage of the the Hero deal and picking up a hybrid for $95.

The gen1 hybrids flew under the radar because of their original price, but they flat out perform and the feel and sound is amazing.

I also ended up with a gen 1 mustang putter for $95 after my latest trip to PXG. And so far I am loving it. We will see if the honeymoon can continue. I also considered the gen1 3 wood as well, but it is more demanding than my current rogue. At $95 per club it is hard not to just buy all of them :)

for comparison purposes, the g410 has a thicker topline, fatter sole, and more offset. length is similar. i500 is very similar in size to 0211, with a slightly thinner sole, topline very similar, also offset. the 0211 are progressive as well, so the longer irons will have more offset and appear larger than the scoring irons. my latest 0211 set i even went with the wedges, which are very similar to ping wedge shapes.

This. I’m probably repeating myself (this thread has an incredible self life) but it’s worth noting that the 0211 really is a progressive/combo set. The long irons are essentially XF‘s and the scoring clubs P‘s. I’m fairly smitten if you can’t tell. I also agree that these were the irons that the i500 should have been. It’s interesting how the 0211 is the sleeper of PXG’s lineup while the i500 is PING’s black sheep.

The MMT’s were a failure for me. I should have gone in and got fit as opposed to ordering blindly. After seeing so many positive reviews of the MMT thread I blindly ordered without being fit. Obviously there is a huge difference between the 80g and 120g MMT shafts.

I couldn’t feel the head of the 0211 with the 80g shaft, my tempo was a mess, terrible ball striking, not like 9 handicap is a good ball striker but I felt like a 20 cap with the shafts.

I was properly fit at the Scottsdale HQ today. I feel like a moron for not doing it the first place. Hit the MMT 80’s and couldn’t make decent contact at all. Hit my old shaft, the Nippon 105 in the head and had decent results. Hit the TT Elevate Tour and lack luster results. Hit the Aerotech Steelfiber 95’s and hadcreally good results. Last shaft I hit was TT Elevate 95’s and had even better results, distance, spin, launch were basically the same but dispersion was even better. The fitter didn’t even try to up sell me, and pointed me in the right direction. Ended up with the Elevate 95’s.

I have to say PXG’s customer service was awesome. I was a dummy and didn’t get fit properly but yet they let me come back in and get fit. I received the proper shafts with no extra charges or fees. Hats off to PXG!

I’m obviously a fan of the MMT, especially the 80, so I’m biased but I have to ask how much time you gave them? I went from Dynamic Gold so the 40 gram difference was big but didn’t feel like I lost anything after an adjustment period.

Good to hear you went and got fit. Look forward to hearing your reviews on the course.

That place is amazing and the fitters are really good. I did a driver and putter fitting months ago. I have an 0211 iron fitting this Sat.

Getting fit is key, no doubt. If I can add my two cents as a former retail club fitter (not an expert), if switching from 120 gram steel to 80 gram graphite you may have to get some repetitions in. 3-5 rounds and 3 range sessions, perhaps? There certainly isn’t a magic shaft that will work for everyone but a single digit handicap won’t turn into a 20 handicap hack (or even super hack ?) based on shaft alone. The middle of the face is the middle of the face and some days we just can’t find it.

I had 4 rounds in and 6 visits to the range. Other than the first round with the MMT's I had just terrible results. When I think back on that round now, I got up and down like a champ with a bunch of one putts, I think I focused on the result of the round score wise and not actually performance wise. I was mess every other round, didn't break 90. :-(

Either way the shafts just weren't for me. When I went in yesterday on the sim it was the same. Couldn't feel the head through the ball with the MMT's. I had terrible results with the MMT's in the sim. Like I said I went through a bunch of shafts and had drastic improvements across the board with every other shaft. That includes another graphite shaft in the Aerotech Steelfiber 95g. Goes to show you that a fitting is key. I'm excited to get the irons back with the shafts that are right for me.

Well, now I’m just jealous. I saw that you’d only had them a week and assumed you hadn’t hit them very much. 4 rounds and 6 sessions sounds like a fantastic MONTH for a Minnesota boy like me!

I’m happy but the go in me would be lying if I said I hadn’t thought of this, as well. I bought mine as-new for $550 and figured I could sell them if things went south. Now, it seems as if I paid almost new pricing but without taxes and shipping. My deal was still fantastic, making the new pricing an absolute steal!

Well your deal is one you can’t pass up.

At $125 each new, the best value is the MMT graphite. Not going to get the MMT for less than $75’per for the shaft alone, so another $50 for the head and grip is pretty darn good. The one thing I would do is make more of those shafts no-upcharge options. If you’re offering the MMT stock, you can offer the Accra, KBS, PX and UST as well. Those all cost less than the MMT in the retail market.

Regardless, the irons are definitely worth checking out at that price.

Had my fitting this morning at PXG Scottsdale. Tyler was my fitter gain. He fit me for a driver and putter about 4 months ago. Awesome guy that is so knowledgeable about gear. We had fun talking clubs and even GolfWrx. Great guy. I have been fit by Club Crap (Champion), Ping HQ in Phoenix (won a fitting from GolfWrx) and PXG twice. Tyler is the man! Not a salesmen and no pressure, just wants me to hit good shots. Thank you bro.

I will say I went there to buy 0211’s to replace my P790’s that I have had since they released them. The 0211 Hero pricing makes it so hard to pass on.

I brought my clubs with me and directly compared my 2017 P790’s to the 0211’s. Currently playing Modus 105 shafts and loved the Modus 120 in the 0211. The shaft was the difference for me. The 0211 looks thinner on the top line, but longer in blade length. Did the 0211 feel better? YES!! This the improve my striking enough? No. The shaft was better? yes.

I must say I didn’t buy the 0211’s because the Gen3 0311P blew me away! Tyler should have not let me hit those. Haha. That is my next set of irons no matter what. Saving my cash and selling my wife for those irons. No joke guys... Gen3 irons are seriously that good. I love my wife, but the love of the game is worth it!! Bye...

PXG has some sick stuff coming out, to include their new Sugar Daddy wedges with new weighting . Oh..the 0311 ST is so damn good. Did not think I was good enough to handle those, but I did just fine the the ST.

Thank you Tyler and Thank You Bob for supporting us Veterans and First Responders. BTW, Hero program has been extended to Friends and Family of Hero Program.

Haha. Good point. My wife was with me and helped me control the use of the credit card. She doesn’t golf, but saw this difference herself when I was hitting the Gen3. I think she will authorizing a purchase order very soon?.
