PXG 0211 irons - what do you think?

Tyler figured out that the Modus 120 was the shaft for me. FYI, have Modus 105 in my 790’s. I alternated from the 0211 and Gen3 0311P and the results were clear.

The feel of the Gen3 is like nothing I have hit. The 0211 felt a little better than my 790’s, but the Gen3 were special. I gained about 8 yds over the 0211 and 790’s (equal yardage), but the dispersion is what stood out. Even with the same shaft in the 0211 and 0311P you could see the dispersion was tighter with the 0311P. Tyler kept mentioning the guts of the head is what was making the difference. I don’t know, but I saw it and felt it.

i could have pulled the trigger on the 0211’s right there, but I am waiting for the funds to get the Gen3 0311P’s.

Gen3 are not officially out, but can be purchased during a fitting. I think they are released mid Jan to the public. My fitter had cutaways of 0211, Gen2 , and Gen3 heads and explained to me the differences in the COR technology. The Gen3 is a combo of previously used materials. I have never hit Gen2, but I know that Gen3 feels amazing and he did say that the new materials inside are making a difference on forgiveness and dispersion. I am a believer. Oh, and the milling on the backside of the iron looks really good.

Wait till you see the new Sugar Daddy wedges. Wow those look sweet.

No Hero pricing yet or I would have purchased on the spot. Will be several months before that pricing happens on Gen3.

I think the Gen 3's are going to be 425 per stick.

I got fit for the 211 yesterday and ordered.

I hit the gen 3 just because I could tried the T and the P. And the feel of the Gen 3 really is special.

Also tried the Gen 2, and the 3 feel blew it out of the water.

I was tickled pink that the numbers for me were pretty much the same with the 211 and the gen 3 T, and I say that since they are a third of the cost.

Hit all 3 with the elevate tour which was the shaft that worked best for me.

looked at maybe ordering a 5pc set of 0211 irons through the PXG site. It’s really $150 for normal Fedex ground shipping ??? What the holy $&@? $30 per club.... huh ????

I've never seen these in the wild, can anyone comment to the blade length and sole width on these?

Say compared to an i210 or Apex CF16 iron?

Thanks,

Eric

The 0211's feel nice and are a great value depending on what you are coming from. The Gen 3's are next level special. Don't hit them unless you are ready to bag them. You won't like how your non Gen 3's game after hitting the Gen 3's.

That’s great news. Amazing what 15 grams more weight and a little less torque can do? Makes a big difference. Congrats. Eager to hit a 211. I don’t love super soft irons so I may like the Gen2/0211’better than the new stuff. I like to feel the hammer a little at impact, always have liked how Pings feel, especially the S55, designed by Mike Nicolette in the pre-PXG days.

I absolutely LOVE the 0211’s. Them with the TourElevate shafts have changed my game this past season. I gamed the 716 Ap1’s a few years ago and they were really good, but the 0211’s are only another level.

The Feel is WAAAY better then the 716’s, and Pxg just got it right with these clubs. For me they’ve been game changers. Point and shoot, but still have to put a decent swing on them.

Best of luck with the surgery. A new bag of PXG’s would help the healing process ?

very similar for me, I injured my back in June of this year, July 4 while in rehab process ordered the 0211 and they’ve been in the bag since they arrived.

I’ll pm you to not clutter the thread.

Was talking to a dealer today who carries the 0211 in store. He was saying that he heard that they dropping the 0211 on the advice of a marketing company. Apparently they are hurting the PXG image of being an elite club. Not sure I believe it, just repeating what I heard.

I ordered a set thru the heroes but didn’t like the long blade length compared to my i200’s. Waiting for the Gen 2’s to drop in price.

I’d guess that the 0211 is doing fairly well with the Hero segment. Maybe they figure that is taking away possible higher price point sales?
