Reed - Stay Classy

OBbogey5

Recommended Posts

Was that his final hole of the day? If so I’m thoroughly not impressed. Front 9 club breakage is the only club breakage that moves the needle for me.

Glove: ML
Tees: 2 3/4
Towel: white
Repair tool: metal
Ball Marker: largest poker chip in the world
Iron headcovers: wait, what?

The feedback system is annoying

The club is already re shafted and it cost him nothing financially. So all it was was a stupid display of childishness. All he had to do was swipe the wedge a bit at the grass for the same effect. It’s embarrassing to people with class. Not him though, nor Fox. They are already showing it again and again. And when the tournament is over and some Jim Nantz overly dramatic holier than thou type composes the week in review segment, no doubt this will be included along with the fake tear jerking takes. Thats modern TV for you. Pathetic as a word banned on this forum.

Concur with this.

I am in no way a fan of Reed but one of the enduring attractions to sport/competition is emotion. He let some out, without a younger Tiger-like profanity laced tirade, kept the show within the bubble of he and his caddy, didn’t damage the course, and immediately moved on. Wouldn’t want to see it every week but willing to embrace it on rare occasion.

Playing for millions of dollars, things not going your way, slight anger issue combined with an absolute drive and desire to win out of competitive nature, yeah, it's cool he did that. How many of us have wanted to do that? A lot.

I like Patrick Reed because of how unapologetically real he is. Him, Bubba Watson, on and on. It's better than Sergio beating the piss out of a bunker or taking it out on the course.

This. I'd snap three or four clubs a year if I had the money to waste getting them re-shafted. I love all these 20 handicaps with the competitive drive of a sloth whining about class.

Listen to all the whining over.. GASP.. a snapped club. Whether playing well or poorly, Reed is immensely more enjoyable to watch play golf than Spieth and it's not even close. Authentic raw passion is magnetic.

You’re saying Reed is passionate because he snapped a club? What do you think Jack would say about that?

Couldn't give a rip of what senile Jack has to say about anything tbh.

Exactly .., sometimes you have to show the others what’s possible. Absolutely non story. No damage , no outburst , no delay , no danger to anyone but himself.

Same ones whining about Patrick snapping a club are also whining about Jordan’s whining to his caddie. Who’s well paid to hear his whining. A lot of whining going on.
