Blueprint vs S55 comparisons??

Playing S55 and drooling over Blueprint irons. Have hit a few times into screen and was impressed. Just looking for feedback on how they compare for mishits, distance, accuracy and how they show wear. Thanks for any feedback.

I play the s55's and have only demoed the Blueprints. My first impression is that the blue prints are definitely a smaller head with less forgiveness. I'm in the same boat where I'd be interested in moving on from the s55's, but the only true replacement is the iblade which is 3 years old. For me I'd be interested in getting into a smaller head for the 8-pw, but the 4&5 irons are too small for me to game.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that the blueprints are more similar to a titleist MB than they are the s55.

I've gamed s55 since it came out and my Blueprints will be here next week. We'll see how they compare.

Oh man....I did not want to see this thread. I have hit the BPs a few times indoors and they are just amazing. Enough forgiveness and look gorgeous. I have played the 55s for 2.5 years now. Longest iron set to ever be in the bag! I have tried to replace them with no luck.

I recently tried the Blueprint at a superstore. I was impressed by how forgiving they were. And obviously, they look fantastic!!!

I only put about 4 rounds but the finish is still like new. I don't have any nicks, dings or scratches yet.

Love mine. I’ll try to post some face pics in a bit. Now mind you. I beat the crap out of my stuff. I hit the pw off a cartpath because the drop was in 4 inch Bermuda last week. So battle scars Appreciated here.

I probably have twenty rounds with mine? In the midwest, so not a lot of sand-based turf except on the range. Face still looks brand new - bottom of the clubs? Well, they look like blades :).

Blueprints are beautiful. Then you put them behind the ball and they look like shank machines. The blade length might not be the width of the ball.

I have played them all as well. I still have the s55s and now play the BP. I think the BP are superior to the s55 in the lack of offset, equal forgiveness, no clanky feeling shots, and playing position beauty. just my 2 cents.

I tried them last week, loved the looks, clean as an iron can be, still liked my old S55s more. They are very difficult to replace.....

I can't seem to move on from s56's. Got a sweet deal on a set of i210 but the look a bit chunky to my eye

You've got S55's so you know how that design plays. I believe the S59-58-57-56-55 irons are tied with Eye 2 for Ping's "best ever" iron design.

The Blueprint is a good looking iron design which won't provide any benefits to your shot making compared to the S55. But the Blueprint is a new model and if you want something new the Blueprint is the best thing Ping has right now , so buy a set of Blueprints and have fun.

I have just recently put my s55 irons back in the bag to give my i210s a breather. The s55 irons are the best feeling iron I’ve ever hit. There’s just something about that iron that makes it different. I have played Mizuno and Ping irons over the years and I’m not sure I’ve ever hit anything better than the s55.

Same forgiveness as the S55? 

I haven't hit the BP yet but now I'm intrigued.

Debating going back to my S55s after a couple of years. But the curious cat in me is intrigued by the Blueprints...
 

Might have to pull the trigger even though I’m a little worried about forgiveness in the BP vs the S55.
