The Mavrik Sub Zero was built off of the Triple Diamond design. It IS a triple diamond. BB

The retail Mavrik SZ is not a diamond-anything. It may have been based off the EF SZ Triple Diamond, but it is not the same as the Mavrik diamond heads we’re seeing on tour. Those heads have varying levels of shape distinction and possibly similar flight/bias properties as last year, or they could be completely different; we don’t know enough about them yet to have any conclusions. From the WITBs we’ve seen, the vast majority with a Mavrik in the bag are using non-retail heads. I’ve only seen 1 retail head that I can recall (Grace).

Brands don’t want to have multiple skus so 9 mavrik for retail won’t happen. 5 probably won’t happen.

Wow...from a buisness perspective, this would be a terrible idea if you plan on stocking retail stores. How many anti slice heads,hook heads, hi toe miss heads,etc would you stock? Retail stores would go crazy. However, have each head avail for custom ordering...then maybe...but still...10 different heads? Cmon....no need for the general public IMHO

I'm referring to tour options not retail options. Reality is 99% of the golfing world doesn't know there are more Maveriks than whats available at their local shop. Golfwrx is not the norm.

From the photos I’ve seen of the Mavrik SZ next to the EF TD, they are VERY different in shape, face size, etc.. They dont really look close.

All I’m saying is Callaway listened and watched and decided to incorporate Triple Diamond into this design. There words not mine. Other variants on Tour, of course there is that’s not news. Does that mean a one off designed for a specific player will somehow benefit others? Threading hairs here but I know I know the Tour Issue head junkies want there stuff....BB

I play with a Triple Diamond and have played one round with a Mavrik SZ. They are similar but not the same. The Mavrik was very draw biased to me. Not a bad driver but not enough of an upgrade for me to change from the TD Epic Flash.

I don't thin brooks will sign with anybody (club wise), just my opinion but I think he stays a free agent. He has had too much success that way, and that would all change if he did a full bag switch. Again just my onion.

Mavrik SZ looks more like the normal epic Sz, rogue SZ type shape. No triple diamond look. I play the triple diamond at times.

Agree. Players like Brooks not under contract are the barometer of whats really performing on tour and whats not. Be interesting to see how things progress come April.
