Is there a newer Version of the brushed black one?

I ordered two of them and my shafts are not as black as in some reviews or pictures. I found a picture near the release date and you can see that the brushed black is more dark gray.

My two shafts are dark gray as well.

Can someone post a picture of your brushed black shaft?

Thanks

I think they simply have a lot of batch to batch color variation.  I bought a shaft and it was very black.  Bought a second and it was not as black.  Got another later and it was pretty black.

I removed the stroke lab shaft in my Toulon and put in a gloss white CT Tour. Much better feel for me, and the white finish makes me feel like I'm super cool like the pros with LA Golf shafts. Win-win.

I am a rookie senior golfer who is still learning as to the technical aspects of golf clubs, though I do extensive research. But in having a half-set of clubs fitted and built for me I was chagrined to learn that the default putter shaft would have been one that sells for $7.00 retail. I did not want to spend hundreds of dollars on a composite materials putter shaft for my circumstances, but felt the need to upgrade somewhat. That is where I came across the KBS steel putter shaft offerings, which both got very high reviews in the tests I read up on.

I have known how to putt since I was a kid, and recently was able to test both the KBS CT Tour putter shaft ($29.95 or $39.95, depending on finish) and the KBS Tour One Step putter shaft ($64.95 or $74.95, depending on finish), at the KBS facility in Carlsbad, California.

The KBS representative wanted to make sure that I was not bothered by the unique sight line of the One Step. I was not.

I liked both, but found the CT Tour a bit too stiff for me and the touch of the One Step to be exceptional. Oddly enough, the One Step, at 130 grams, felt lighter to me than the objectively lighter CT Tour, at 124 grams.

It seems to come down to individual preference and testing. I purchased the KBS Tour One Step putter shaft in matte black, and will have a matching matte black putter head.

Have the CT tour putter shaft in the gloss black finish in a Metal X Milled #6 with 15g sole weights and the grey dfx grip that comes stock on white hot OG at 36” in length and have been extremely pleased with consistency of roll and speed control. Been using this setup about a month so far. 👍🏻
BTW-only  tried it because favorite shop had one in stock, were only a few options in stock to fit my putter, and I thought looked good in combination with my putter head😀added benefit has been made a few putts 🤔

Does this shaft make the putter feel muted with less feedback in the hands? My bgt stability shaft made my putter have less feedback through my hands and made things feel softer which I hated. I like to feel mishits in my hands and get as much feedback as possible

My guess is that if you try them both, which arguably anyone should in making their selection, you will find the KBS CT Tour provides more feedback. The KBS Tour One Step was designed by Kim Braly to create “a reduction in vibrations at impact for your putts...”, which in my experience it does with impunity.

Thanks! I do love the feel of just the standard steel shaft that comes in my Newport so maybe the kbs ct tour is closer in that feel and feedback in my hands. Not a fan of the reduction in vibration in the hands
