Yeah, a rookie or no-name pro would probably have had to drop off the cart path into the GUR, then dropped half way up the bank to get complete relief, not taking both the cart path and the GUR into account at the same time in figuring the nearest relief. Phil knew exactly what he wanted to do and convinced the rules official to go along. Savvy at best.

I'm watching the coverage now and have come to this conclusion: I find Bryson to be unwatchable. His pre-shot routine (especially putting) is beyond aggravating. Thankfully I'm able to skip his shots with the fast forward.

So where I live I am dealing with afternoon thunderstorms so I go out in morning finish chores around 12:40 PM ......IT's OK tho because I knew at that time that I could look forward to spending my afternoon indoors ( while it rained outside) and put my feet up and watch "LIVE" Golf on Golf Channel and CBS all afternoon ............Good plan but one problem ............................................................The Golf is NOT "live " .

The President of CBS is looking at Nielsens "projected " TV ratings for this afternoon........ And knows that when people realize its a replay that people will be changing the channel .........So much for those nice ratings !
