TA3s are one of the most underrated clubs. Each club has a classic shape through the entire set and feel great at impact.

Hands down: MacGregor V-Foil Forged, 1025M and 1025Cs.

 

 

I remember seeing Baddely when he had those 1025Ms in his bag and nearly won the US Open with them, saying they were "the best irons ever". Granted he was their staffer so he was supposed to say that, but THEY....ARE....AMAZING.

 

 

My gamers to this day are the 1025Cs...they are the only set of irons I will NEVER part with. They are perfection and pure butter. Softer than Mizunos, Hogans, anything I have ever tried. And I have hit some of my best scores ever with those irons.

I've had my eye on CMBs for a while and have been trying to source a set for a reasonable price. Seems like the average price is going up. Great looking and feeling clubs. Would love to own some Legacy Blacks at some point as well.

My vote goes to the J40 DPC, Srixon 745, an J15 CB. I see those irons mentioned in more threads than any other model.

For me...it was the MP33's. But others...Bridgestone J33b, Mizuno MP32, MacGregor 1025M, Titleist 690MB, Mizuno MP64...

Keep your eyes on the Classifieds here... I bought a set of heads (6-PW) for $50 and they were in great shape... only big problem was getting shafts for them as they are taper tips (instead of parallel tips, I think) so it's hard to find cheap shafts... I ended up just stealing shafts from the club pro who had some old Mizuno's lying around... paid him $100 to pull them and shaft the Adams... Have about $200 in the set.
