I just saw the replay of that. He still didn’t even reach the green...... Then later he layed up 40 feet short on Par 3 16th, and putted again from 40 ft off the green, lol

Yeah, I wonder the same. Seeing Faldo laugh his ass off about it was fun, though, as well as Nantz try to give his serious voice to why Phil said he did what he did. Because when you are like 43rd in the tournament you DEFINITELY need to avoid taking a big number at 16.

Phil is whining without saying a word, by his foolish strategy on number 13 and 16. You don't see anybody else using that strategy, just Phil, because he wants to make a statement that the course is too hard. Poor Phil!

I could see him doing that. But then again, they all know Jack is redesigning a lot of that to make it more fair, including a pitched forward green at 16 to be more receptive
