At this time I draw attention to the fact we are almost to our 130th page of gibberish. We have had nearly 4000 posts of fun right smack dab here. Almost 65,000 peeks have been made our way to see what we are currently doing. We just ourselves keep WRX afloat I believe. 🙃 Since late last summer we have been playing across the land. We are on a roll. This band is still quite popular. We have staying power. We entertain ourselves as well as possibly a faithful semi-regular audience. Take a bow gents and keep it coming.

two days off. two tee times. Oh I earned these days off following this past weekend slaving. One brand new track on Tues. I'm traveling 90 minutes in NCL's direction to Morganton, NC.    Silver Creek G.C. 

With tired legs I will still compete. It's to be sunny and 72* both days. One extra club and one extra toke often gets it done.

Commish is in it to take 1st both days. My irons have been very useful for two weeks now. Here's hoping the streak continues. Hey putter, how about you show up too.

After being pent up forever indoors, hitting a ball out in the fresh air and watching it fly into the sky is extreme happiness. I have lived that existence and know the rush.    Well said NCL.

very excited to see the masters back in its rightful place in the calendar year.  Reminded me of the time we almost got kicked out of augusta for our flaming outfits.  Or the time we got way too drunk and made fun of the chairman at one of his club for wearing pants in 90 degrees florida humidity.  I haven't been invited back ever since. =P

Easter Sunday Twilight round recap!

My wife and I walked 18 (with push cart).  5.4 miles.  $22 after 3PM. Played a mix of tees so total about 5600 yards.

46-41 = 87  

6 pars and curled in a 20 foot birdie putt on 18 as the sun set.  Victory cold Mt. Dew in the parking lot.  Livin' large in the OC!

Drains a 20 foot curler on 18 as the sun was setting. Now that is a fab finish to an awesome day on the links. Cheers to getting out there with Mrs. NCL.

I for one am happy spring is here although it's still gonna be tough to get out with my current caregiving situation. It's partly bad to mostly bad to Hurricane category 5 on a weekly basis at the old folks house. That said it's Masters Week and it's my favorite golf tourney of the year. Not to mention my O's just swept the Gimpy Bosox 3 in a row on Opening Week while my other adopted team the Nats were sent to their rooms over the weekend with 4 players testing positive from Covid. Pair all of that with the finale of March Madness and the overrated Gonzaga Bulldogs taking on the Baylor Bears, when I say overrated I do not mean the Zags do not deserve to be in the final, I just mean they do not need to be talked about as one of the best teams to do so. You hear it on sports talk radio and I think that is a bit much. As a matter of fact tonight I might lay the -4.5 pts and ride those Baylor Bears to the net cutting ceremony. Masters, Opening week in MLB, and March Madness Finale in the same week, not to mention the Great 8 just surpassed Brett Hull in power play goals, and the fact that I might be playing my first round of golf since Tiger Woods won the Masters in 2019. So let's hear it for the Boy!

So I think I am looking at this backward, but that seems to be how I roll.  With no money on the line, I simply need to do my thing.  Last week I actually scored points, which I hadn't done for a few weeks.  I am reveling in my success.  In fact, one might say I am drunk with success.  Unlike others, I never get tired of winning.

 

My Masters picks all seem to be backward.  I am going to ride Phil Mickelson, Bubba Watson, and the new lefty phenom out of Scotland, Robert MacIntyre.  He was born on the Western coast of Scotland.  I have never been there, but people tell me its nice.  If you ever find yourself on the wrong side of the road, absolutely stop by the Castle Doune, and when you get the self guided tour electronics, make sure to listen to both explanations about the castle.  It is very nearby the birthplace of Andy Murray as well.

 

In a nod to history, I predict this will be Robert MacIntyre's Bannockburn moment as he routs the field.

 

Played golf yesterday myself.  My game could be at best be described as hit or miss, with the latter seeming to be more prevalent at this point in the season.  I slapped that little orb all over the park yesterday visiting tree wells, lipping out putts, and the coup de grace was the forehead shot into the cart barn on 18.  Can't wait to do it again.
