Actually you're just as likely to get random 70 degrees in Feb as you are as cold.   Lived there for many years and often played in Feb in not more than a fairly thick quarte zip.  Cool mornings often give way to very pleasant late morning early afternoon temps.

 I did this package a coupled years ago with the fitting and credit.  The fitting was great...at the time...don't know how COVID Protocols may change it.   But met the Pro in the building right behind the range, we went over what I was looking for-917 Driver at the time-he gathered a few things from his shop, we jumped in a cart and drove to the opposite end of the range where the teaching facility is.  We were inside a hitting studio that hit out onto the range.  So it was nice climate controlled, but got to see the entire flight of the ball---Nice ProV's!     I would say the fitting took about 45 minutes or so and he was kind of enough to do a 5 wood fitting for me as well at no charge. 

 

We went back to the shop, placed the order for the driver, using my $200 credit paid the difference, and the shipped it directly to me in Maryland, about 2 weeks later. 

 

Really considering doing this package this year, if I can't convince a buddy to do it, maybe I'll do the single thing.  I did a single trip there-non package--a couple years ago and had a great time, took a short game lesson from Eric and spent the better part of one day just hanging out at the range/short game area after the lesson and on the old veranda--before they built the Deuce.

Looks like an awesome deal, but someone at Pinehurst or Titleist clearly hates me. The dates of these packages coincide EXACTLY with the only times of the year that I can't be away from work. Boo!

Just booked for the last weekend in March. Flying in Friday morning

 

-Playing #4 Friday afternoon. sounds like there’s a tournament so that was the only option to get on #4 

 

-#2 on Saturday morning, then Sat PM doing the Titleist fitting and the cradle at happy hour 

 

-Sunday morning TBD. Thinking about giving #3 a whirl vs going out to Mid Pines or Tobacco Road. Is Dormie totally private now? 
 
my wife is coming along as a non-playing guest. It’s a pretty good deal IMO with the included meal packages. For the 2 of us for the weekend it’s 1600 including golf and breakfast/dinner each day. She’s gonna do a spa day and do some shopping/antiquing. Then come out with me and walk the cradle and have drinks.

I think you can still get on Dormie if you book through a travel agency like Talamore Packages.

You can get on Dormie, I had a trip that I canceled last year and I got a time by emailing them. A buddy just emailed them and got on recently.

I asked my wife and said it was 900 for everything and she thought it was a scam, she’s said book it immediately. I was pumped! 
 

She called and it was around 1600(if I remember correctly) for both her(non golfer) and I and gave me the look of death. 
 

 

I just said sorry and went to the restroom, turned on the faucet water and cried silently.

Yes 999 for the golfer and 580 for the “social package” (room and the inclusive breakfast+dinner)
 

there are a couple other options - the spa escape package is a little less per night but doesn’t include dinner (but eyeballing seemed like you could save money even paying a la carte)

Yup, my golf package was $699 and it was around $640 for my wife's spa package: which includes a 50 min spa session for each night, breakfast, and dinner.

 

Heck of a deal if you ask me!

This is quickly at the top of the list for 2022. Looks like an hour shorter drive than Myrtle from NJ, which I’ve done many times. 8 hours in the car is typically preferable to flying, renting a car etc.

Fairly good availability for those dates at the resort. Would love to book but I have to play it by ear and see how the schedule fills out 2021.

Just saw this thread. Booked for February 21-23 on the cradle, #2 and #8. The final cost (taxes included) was $699 per person. I’ve been to the area before and this is an absolute steal. The club fitting I believe is inside on trackman and the deal includes breakfast, dinner and lodging.

We booked for the end of March.  We are staying an extra night at resort based on we pretty much loose the day getting there.  Like most, playing Cradle, No.2 and No.4 at resort but added a round at Dormie Club.    

 

I have been few times and played all but the Cradle, but the other 3 have never been.  

 

Cant beat the price honestly for everything included.

 

Edit: The $200 Titleist credit, two in our group are probably not doing the fitting.  Pretty sure if they do not do the fitting you still get the credit though as I understand it.

Is the credit per person or per couple if you and another person buy the package (699x2)?

It does not say online. I would assume per person though, but I am not sure. I think it is best to give them a call.

Its only 1/2 hour.  You only get one of the following.... Driver   3Wood   Irons   Wedges..... so they only do it for that long.  Seems short but in 30 mins you should be good since you only get to test Titleist.

Not sure. I have a TS3 and want to compare to new model so same boat as you.  Hoping they have a number of them.  One would assume if Titleist is putting on the package they would have all the items?  /Crossing fingers

Anyone know what the courses will be like at the end of February?  I assume most of the grass will be dormant and yellow, is this true?
