What Golf Pride grip do you use and Why?

Z cord midsize+2 wraps but looking to switch to Lamkin? About 1 in 5 of the z grips I bought last year were missing sections of cord and golf pride was no help whatsoever.

 

Edit: someone from golfpride saw this post and contacted me, much more help this time around.  It's possible I ended up with a fake- investigation ongoing, will update post with findings

Tour Velvet +4 Midsize with 3 wraps.  I want soft and to feel nothing  😁

Currently have midsize MCC +4s on my clubs but built a trial club with midsize Z-cord with +4 wraps under the lower hand, I prefer the full cord and the firmness in the lower hand that the MCC simply doesn't have. Driver get's a standard size Z-cord with +4 wraps under the lower hand, I struggle to turn my hands over enough with driver for whatever reason, the slightly smaller grip helps.

Tour Wrap whites for years. Tried Pure Wraps and always go back to the tackiness. Love the feel and easy to clean.

I've been playing 22 years and my 1st set of irons had ribbed grips.  I got accustomed to having the rib- reminder so the times I have tried 

other grips it just felt weird.  Most Manufacturers don't offer many choices if any so I play Golf Pride Tour Velvet ribbed .600 core, 

 

               I guess it's a good thing because they are what I like and are the least expensive grips available at $ 4.99 each 😀

MCC +4 Aligns midsize when I have enough DSG coupons to bring the price down. NDMC midsize in any color off of BST whenever they’re available.

Those are Counterfeit grips....  but if they work for you ok.

That’s a big negative, I normally get new/old stock when needed but thanks for your opinion!

  90% of the grips on eBay are Counterfeit....  There are many threads in the Deal or No Deal and other Forums. 

 

It's not my opinion.  I actually was scammed many years ago and Baltimore Golf that is a distributor of just about every grip Mfg. had Golf Pride look at the grips and confirmed they were counterfeit.  The eBay seller in North Carolina refunded me and immediately shut down his eBay store.  Probably came back as another name.  

 

If a deal is too good to be true.... It is.

G2 Tour Wraps. They get their tackiness back right after you clean them. Just the right amount of shock absorption for me. Traditional looking. White on the wedges, blue on woods, black on irons. I have found that the white ones are a little heavier and can throw off one swing weight. And I don't know if this is true, but the white ones seem tackier in a good way.

Tour velvet 360 white. Loved them when they came out stock for Titleist few years ago and stuck with them since. Small difference I know but looks way better than regular version.

Id say that's a pretty gross generalization. A majority of certain types of grips on ebay can be counterfeit, like Iomics or MCCs, but certainly not 90% of ALL grips. Plenty of legit sellers out there.

Ya I find the TV Cord the best of both worlds Firm but not rough and harsh like the Z-Cords! Need abit of cord when playing in the rain and Wind of Ireland and gives you so much more feel then a soft spungy grip

No unfortunately Ive never been able to find them for anything less than a few bucks off retail. But definitely worth the price no matter what!

His mention of $2-3 was with the caveat of being patient. He isn't going to the first China based seller and paying 50% off for fake Tour Velvets, he's likely waiting for domestic sellers liquidating old stock or similar.

You're mixing two different peoples statements...  My response was to me making a generalization about 90% of Golf Pride grips that are 50% off are Counterfeits.  No big deal and the seller I was sold fake GP grips was in North Carolina.  Golf Pride knows they have a big problem on eBay.  Do what you want and buy what you want.  Check out the Deal Or No Deal Forum, there are many instances of this.  I didn't mean to get anyone spun up.
